Hey all, I have been reading up on all the posts and would love to set up a hydro one of these days. So last night I found myself reading through the latest Quokka ( Trading post paper in WA) and found some complete hydro setups with lights, fans, some with nutrients...everything you need for a grow. Some are already set up in cupboards etc. But I began wondering, what do you do for the smell, heat factor when you are renting or something along those lines? It's probably not the best to go around drilling holes through other peoples walls, ceilings etc. So yeah, I thought I would ask people what they do....are there ways to mask the smell just by using fans and stuff, wi…

Hi, I recently purchased 4x 48w compact fluros for my fluro grow making a total of 5x48w. I am planning on wiring them tegother using paralell circuiting only i have a few questions for u Fluro professionals. I will ask all the questions i have regardin fluros here so save clutter in the forum. 1)If i have 5 to connect and one being the power do i simply just connect the first to the second the second to the third the third to the forth and the forth to the fifth. Do i connect the fifth one back to the first or not. cause i though the circuit had to be closed and if the last light isnt connected back to its origin being the power wont it be a bit dangerous or someting. I…

Hey people haven't been around in a while so i thought i might as well make my post a good one. I recieved some Malawi Gold seeds mid last year and decided to grow them indoors this grow to try to relieve my mold problem a bit (more sativa dom./full sat plants) & the Malawi Gold sounded too good to resist, and since i have paranoia to thank for my reluctance to grow outdoors they probably wouldn't of seen soil for a good while anyway, besides theres more eggs left for that *sighs* ah when the government wake up to themselves and us inebriated horticulturists can grow a few stunnas outdoors just for the sport again, will be a mighty fine day. Anyway enough with…

Well guys, After a lot of pressure from, wade ounce, pipeman, Luke SkyWalker, Taz Stoner, TUGBOAT, Budsta and many others I am going to lay it all on the green line and walk the "Green Mile" and just hope that I can make this grow as good and so well put together as Nimmer did with the help of Luke Skywalker & co several months ago. If I can come anywhere close to that, which I doubt very much, I will be a happy chappy and my mentors, many as they are will be happy with me too. I must say a big thanks to all of you guys who have spurred me into doing this and I sincerely hope i dont screw up. Special thanks go to Pipeman who is putting his time and patience i…

I am finally beginning to get the bits and pieces together for my new plan for a stealth cupboard/ shower recess... love this site, its making life soo much easier.... I was wondering whether anyone had any ideas about the aeration of the nute tank. I understand a lot of people use airstones to create turbulence and add more oxygen to the water. please correct me if I've missed the point... I used to keep a lot of fish in an aquarium so I know a little bit about that, and airstones are largely unnecessary and in some cases decorative. Rising air is mainly used in an aquarium to create an upward current of water, usually through a tube attached to an undergravel filter. O…

Hello folks, It's been a while since I did any real posting here, but I've finally got on track and taken a decent shot at this whole growing thing. For the moment I don't have any pics but I should be able to get ahold of a digital camera in the next couple of days from work, and then the real fun can begin. No one likes a grow thread without pics So, where am I at the moment? I have two clones going that I recieved in the mail nearly 2 weeks ago, and they are going very strong. I think they were about 7" or so when I got them, now they're averaging about 13-14" and these fuckers are growing so quick I can barely keep up with them. They are looking extremely bushy…

got me harvest all sorted ended up with 3oz of decent bud (=to average bush) 4oz of scrapy buds and a block of hash made from 2 or 3 oz, its not the crop of excellent hydro i was hoping for, but I've got a worthwhile smoke and saved a grand or 2 on buying crap from rip off merchants. New crop is running now, I took 2 seedlings from outside, under 20hr light (extra light to compensate for shortening days while they where outside), Im using a local brand of veg nutes, swithching to dutch fest for flower, Im also using some dutch master superbud parta to stop the hight as that really stuffed the last crop , and partb to fatten the buds, also got some dutch master silica to h…

Any Perth guys that want beautifully established females, ready for 12/12 are welcome to them by means of a donation. I have too much to lose if I got sprung and have decided that it it may be easier to dispose of them to you guys that will look after them as I have. done. I really don't want to pull them and put them in the rubbish bin. All plants are an excellent strains ( 4 ) and heavy croppers ( so I have read ). By the looks of them I can believe it. They have been grown hydroponically in expanded clay. I would like to see someone that is just starting up have them as I have pumps, reservoirs, aerators, grow rooms, fans etc., I also have 1 x 600 watt hps, 2 mo…
