Hello I just hung up my plant that I had growing in the bush. I soaked it in water first to get rid of little spiders that were on it (not spidermites but these wierd little spiders light in colour sort of whitish) they didn't seem to be doing the plant harm and they have been on it the whole time. Anyway they all drowned and I was quite happy indeed. I shook the plant off and layed it on newspaper for a little while and then hung it up with a fan on low speed blowing it and twirling it around slowly. That got most excess moisture off and I plan to now leave it hanging in a spare room for 2 weeks or until snap dry. I will then do a lock down on the buds unti…

Hey people. I am relitively new to the growing game, but been smoking for 1 year now.... Generally i just hang the buds in the grow room and leave the fans running to get good circulation... Whats the best way to keep the most weight in the buds?? Thanks for any replies...

gday all, this is my first post and its about my plants which im drying in my spare room, ive got three plants that are fairly thick and got its share of nugs, well i put them upside down 6 days ago in my shed and then moved them to the spare room. Now they are all dry to the touch and i cant feel much moisture in the middle of the buds anymore, so i thought now would be the time to cure them as the smell and the taste of the bud right now isnt that great. i put some small and medium buds in a tupperware container and left in the bottom of my cupboard to cure,(just to test before i put the rest in). when i woke up andn checked them the smelled really strange, like still g…

I've been told that harvest time is 6-8weeks after flowering. But my question is as all the buds on a plant don't all grow and mature at identical rates -- because of closeness to light, position on plant etc, if the whole plant is harvested at say 7 weeks, won't some buds be past their peak while others may be under their peak? I've noticed that on the same plant I have buds with stigma that are all white on some branches whereas on other branches they are almost all amber, still others are 50/50 -- in other words all in varying stages of growth and maturity. Should a branch or section of branch be cut for curing as soon as that area of buds have amber stigma -- beca…

Hi guys, As most of you have probably experienced with commercially grown/bought weed, it often hasn't been flushed properly and has plenty of shite in there from the nutes and it usually isn't dried and cured properly either (I'm assuming because the moisture increases the weight, and therefor value?) Is it possible to do anything with this weed to make it better to smoke? I'm desperately trying not to spin my weed since I quite cigarettes, but with the dope I've been getting lately, if I smoke it green it nearly kills my lungs and throat. From what I have read on here, if the buds ARE dried and cured correctly, it shouldn't be quite so bad. So, my questions: 1…

I was wondering how u can get more then 1 harvest out of your plant. I heard you just cut a little below where the buds are and then you put miracle grow on immediently after u cut and i guess the flowering stage is supposed to start all over. I was just wondering if that really worked because i heard u can get up to 3 or 4 harvests out of the 1 plant.

Was wondering how important the flavour and aroma of your smoke is to you ? Would you sacrifice the smell and the taste of your bud for a higher THC content+ smoother less harsh smoking experience? As in the Water curing method. Personally I love the exotic, complex beautiful tastes and smells - the variety of strains is one of the excellent things about smoking bud .. always a new strain to look forward to or an old favorite to revisit. I find that my sense of taste and smell is one of the strongest memory joggers .... a familiar smell/taste can take you back a lifetime to a moment .... :smoke MM

I was reading up on curing today and came across "Water Curing" - not sure if this has already been posted but I found it a really interesting idea :scratchin I'm wondering if anyone has used this method and if so, can you comment on the loss of flavour which can result ? the increase in potency maybe compensates, but I really judge my smoke by its smell and by the smoking flavour - potency is important ... but I don't mind smokin a little extra if the flavour is good

Anyone have any idea if the trich colour is affected during drying time? Can't wait for the 70% amber , 30% cloudy trich ratio. Just wondering if any kind of reaction occurs while the little buds are sittin there in their jar. Thanx
