So for those who haven't followed my grow at all, my room is 4 X 4 (feet)...using a 400w I weighted in at 5.7 ounces, the buds are crispy on the outside and have been placed into jars. Is this a good amount for the size and watts for my grow...and will the weight go down much more if I'm jarring and burping the jars over the next week? Thanks Heres a little pic of the end product. Came out lots of small buds, not much big colas. Had 20 plants and am trying to decide weather or not to go with 9-ish next time or not. http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/1686/7300710mj7.th.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/1623/7300724ab9.th.jpg http://img364.imageshack.us/i…

Hi All, I am just about to harvest my first plant ever and my head is spinning with all the different info on what to do next. As far as i know i need cut the plant and then hang the branches upside down in a cupboard??????? How long do i do this for and what do i do next? I am in no rush for it and i will be doing this in Victoria where it has got cool all of a sudden. Will this affect the drying process?? Any help would be appreciated!

I think there is mould growing on my buds! Im not sure if its mould and or some kind or a web in some of the buds, but it looks like cotton, it is white with some bits having abit of purple and orange, there isnt that much of it, but it still freaked me out when i discovered it! I found a few little worms in a couple of the buds, could it be their webs or whatever? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Gday guys, there seems to be a lot of conflicting information on websites about drying and curing. I was wondering what exactly the more experienced guys on this website do to dry and cure their buds? Mitch.

Hello! I have bit of a problem here. My tricomes are turning brown now, mainly on the small leaves, all the buds are still covered in white. I also have about 30-40% - 60-70% red\white hair ratio. But, its been flowering now for almost 7 weeks now. When should I pull it up? Cause I've read from here, that when the chrystals starts to turn amber, it's about time?

I have one female plant about 4 weeks into flower and was hoping to cut some of the heads off soon, and some as the hairs start to turn brown so as to vary the type of high (head high, body high) in my harvest. My question is, will cutting parts of the plant off now affect the development of the heads that are still on it?

Hi all, Im into my second week of curing now and i was expecting for thiings to be a little different. It doesnt really look like much has happened at all? I tried testing one of the buds and it smells fantastic but no taste/potency at all.. It doesn't smell much different from that grassy lawn smell when i open the tub.. It's sticky to touch and my hands are manky after crumbling a bit so surely it would do something? Am i just being impatient? Or did i screw up somewhere along the line? I was drying at 55% rH and 65F is that about right? Thanks for reading, if i left anything out let me know.

Hi all! Im into day 72 of flowering now, im pretty sure all of the trichomes are half milky/cloudy (checked under 60x) I did a full flush about 5 days ago now, i haven't fed them any nutes since a day before the flush and was wondering if this was a good idea? I want the trichomes to turn amber and was wondering if the lack of nutes might prevent this? Would it be ok to just keep flushing/feeding with pH adjusted water and hope they turn amber in 10ish days? Also i dont want to run the risk of over doing them so to speak, how much longer can i safely keep them going before trichomes begin to deteriorate? Sorry for the mass of questions.... Many thanks!

After each plant I grow I like to weigh it for personal reference. I only grow for personal but If im found with scales + my stash they would accuse me of dealing also which is just not worth the effort. Im thinking about some kind of inconspicuous weighing system but really dont know where to start for now. Ideas for constructing one? cheers RR

Hi all im new here, i used to be on overgrow before that died but this is my first post here I come posting because just recently i got my very first fresh bud, believe it or not id only ever bought and had pre dried bud. As ive come to find out, the plant it was grown on was taken as a clone from an indoor Afghan strain of some sort here in perth, and grown outside from a few months ago. the bud was taken off the plant either saturday the 17th or sunday morning the 18th. I need some of the bud for this friday night the 23rd leaving a 5 - 6 day drying period. But do not worry for that will be a small portion and the rest will not be wasted. I will attempt to 'cure' t…

I recently discovered that putting the dehumidifyer in the room where the stalks are hung to dry has it done and in jars in 2-3 days! There was very little smell except for right in the room. This seems to work as well as SS's wood stove! This little machine is amazing, it helps in summer with the high humidity we have here, and now it has another use! I got it at a yard sale, best thing I have ever found!

It's my first harvest in over 5 years, so im a bit rusty. This stuff looks to be done on a lot of the tops. but underneath on lower branches seem to be plenty of white hairs. A general rule i used to go by is when over half of the hairs are orange, than its ready. This looks mostly orange on top...should i cut the crop, or maybe just take off finished pieces. Im in week 5 1/2 at the moment. I was expecting another week of heavy growth but some looks done!!! What should i do!!!! In this pic you can see majority are orange, but the cola hasn't totally filled out like i was hoping. (partly i think because i had to go on vacation and couldn't trim lower branches at the pr…
