hi again guys just wondering if any of u have firstly used the Diamond Nectar humic and if it is any good; secondly where can u buy it in australia? (i noticed in a few posts some of u have used it).. do they also make a fulvic suppliment? i am using advanced nutrient range and obviously would prefer their humic/fulvic additives to keep it all the same, if i bought these products from overseas (ebay) would it get through customs? anyone had any experience with this as well thanks

i have a ebb and flow system with 30litre pots, and am currently using hydroton. i was considering changing to diatomite for various reasons, mainly silica and apparently this medium has little or no salt buildup. has anyone had any experience with this? i have been growing for years with hydroton watering 15mins every 3 hours and have had no problems. i was going to use a finer grade diatomite http://www.maidenwell.com/ 2mm-7mm. also any suggestions as to how high to flood the pots? im currently flooding only the bottom third as hydroton floats, the root mass stays restricted to approximately this area, so i was considering filling the pots to a higher level ie …

Read alot in here and on overgrow about sprouting seeds. Most people seem to just pop them in a glass of water for 12-24 hours till they crack and show a tap root. Then they place them in a Pot soil/Vermiculite/Perlite mix. My seeds have been soaking in water now for 20 hours in a warm dark place, and nothing has happened. Should I start to worry?

Ello growers, I picked up some "Add bud" (Fast way Aquarium & Hydorponics) from a shop the other day and thinking that I can use it outdoors on my grow. The labling is short on when to administer "add bud" and the dose is said to be 2 ml per lt of water (in adition to your flowering nutes) My questions are: 1) Can you use this product in a compost/soil grow ? 2) When do you administer "Add bud" At 2ml per lt in addition to flowering nutes it soulnds like PK13/14 which is used at the final stage of flowering. I don't want to administer it too early, nor too late. I asked the store dude who said you can use it any time. It this right ? thanks nitram

the grodan website has some very technical information on water management guidelines. one thing im curious about is this: http://www.grodan.com/sw55949.asp "Start and stop time Irrigation start time and stop time, in combination with irrigation volume, can greatly influence the course of the water content in the slab and in turn, plant growth (Table 9.). Early start time = 0-1hrs after sunrise (ie lights on) Standard start time = 1-2hrs after sunrise Late start time = 2-4hrs Early stop time = 3-6 hrs before sunset (ie lights off) Standard = 1-3 hrs before sunset Late = 0-1 hrs before sunset To illustrate these concepts, here are some examples of strategies…

got my hands on a sample of dutchmaster silica. only 1lt to try it out it says its a 'flowering supplement'. its npk is 0.0.10 6% silica and 10% potassium says add every 2 weeks. question 1 - can or should it be used in veg or just flower? question 2 - can it be used in conjunctino with a pk additive (or would the K be too much in combination) question 3 - can it be used with h202 thanks guys

hi all read this comment on the old cached overgrow "superbud - all normal nutes and additives can be used with it all except peroxide-based products!" Question 1 - is this correct? (my understanding was that H202 i.e. hydrogen peroxide such as oxyplus, should not be used with any oranic supplements. I thought superbud wasn't organic) Questions 2 - if this is correct, would it equally apply to other similar flowering enhancing hormones such as sudden impact, rockjuice, quick turn etc (ie paclo based products) or is it only 'superbud' Thanks

INSECTS IN THE GARDEN APHIDS: To keep aphids and other pests off your roses: Finely chop 1 onion 2 medium cloves of garlic Put ingredients into a blender with 2 cups of water and blend on high. Strain out pulp. Pour liquid into spray bottle. Spray a fine mist on rose bushes, making sure to coat both tops and bottoms of leaves. ALUMINUM FOIL "FOILS" APHIDS Use an aluminum foil much around the base of plants such as tomatoes. The reflection confuses the insects and drives them away. SPIDER MITES: Combine 1/2 cup buttermilk, 4 cups wheat flour and 5 gallons water. Suffocates spider mites and other mites. MEALYBUGS: Apply rubbing alcohol to insect clusters with …

Hello all First of all I have just got a '21kg master foods mayonaise' bucket today and don't know how many litres it holds yet. Anyone out there happen to know? otherwise I will measure it out myself. Anyway it looks to be around 20L, so I need to get an air pump for my experimental DWC setup after sciard fly and spidermite ruined my last plants in soil. What size pump should I get? I need it to run one ceramic airstone in the bubbler and one in the nutrient tank which im going to put 40L of nutrient in (is this right for one bubbler?) So I guess i'm asking a couple of questions but mainly how big is a 21kg master foods mayonaise bucket? what size air p…
