DWC - Air pump size

Hello all

 

First of all I have just got a '21kg master foods mayonaise' bucket today and don't know how many litres it holds yet. Anyone out there happen to know?

 

otherwise I will measure it out myself.

 

 

Anyway it looks to be around 20L, so I need to get an air pump for my experimental DWC setup after sciard fly and spidermite ruined my last plants in soil.

 

What size pump should I get? I need it to run one ceramic airstone in the bubbler and one in the nutrient tank which im going to put 40L of nutrient in (is this right for one bubbler?)

 

So I guess i'm asking a couple of questions but mainly

 

 

 

how big is a 21kg master foods mayonaise bucket?

what size air pump do i need for it, and a 40L nutrient tank?

is running a 40L nutrient tank okay with one bubbler or should I have 60L?

 

I just thought of another question also. If I only have the one bubbler, is there really a need for a nutrient tank until the plant is bigger and starts to drink alot more?

 

also do I need a water pump to move the nutrients around?

Well I ended up getting a 9500cc twin outlet pump for $40 and 5m of black air hose for $5

 

now I suppose I should start measuring out my bucket

21 kg about 21 liters if only water no pumps or heaters. What treestump quoted is prooly enough but i dont know the numbers . $100 4 way is best option but you can get just about same amount of air from 2 x 2 way pumps for about $30 each.
