Took the plunge last week and placed my first order (10th) --they arrived today all safe and sound :applause: So far so good . I was apprehensive at first and just ordered 15 seeds of juicy fruit. And received 20. The company was very quick to respond to initial contact. (good sign). the whole transaction could not have been smoother.

    The seeds look good and healthy , I have put them in water to start germination (bless the little floaters) :yahoo: .....;.;

".... And the journey begins ....... :yahoo:

    What is fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that causes pain, stiffness, and tenderness of the muscles, tendons, and joints. Fibromyalgia is also characterized by restless sleep, awakening feeling tired, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, and disturbances in bowel function. Fibromyalgia is sometimes referred to as fibromyalgia syndrome and abbreviated FMS. Fibromyalgia was formerly known as fibrositis.

While fibromyalgia is one of the most common diseases affecting the muscles, its cause is currently unknown. The painful tissues involved are not accompanied by tissue inflammation. Therefore, despite potentially disabling body pain, patients with fibromyalgia do not develop body damage or deformity. Fibromyalgia also does not cause damage to internal body organs. In this sense, fibromyalgia is different from many other rheumatic conditions (such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, and polymyositis). In those diseases, tissue inflammation is the major cause of pain, stiffness, and tenderness of the joints, tendons and muscles, and it can lead to joint deformity and damage to the internal organs or muscles.

    What causes fibromyalgia?

The cause of fibromyalgia is not known. Those affected experience pain in response to stimuli that are normally not perceived as painful. Researchers have found elevated levels of a nerve chemical signal, called substance P, and nerve growth factor in the spinal fluid of fibromyalgia patients. Levels of the brain chemical serotonin are also relatively low in patients with fibromyalgia. Studies of pain in fibromyalgia have suggested that the central nervous system (brain) may be somehow supersensitive. Scientists note that there seems to be a diffuse disturbance of pain perception in patients with fibromyalgia.

Also, patients with fibromyalgia have an impaired non-rapid eye movement, or non-REM, sleep phase (which likely, at least in part, explains the common feature of waking up fatigued and unrefreshed in these patients). The onset of fibromyalgia has been associated with psychological distress, trauma, and infection.

    Who does fibromyalgia affect?

Fibromyalgia affects predominantly women (over 80% of those affected are women) between the ages of 35 and 55. Less commonly, fibromyalgia can also affect men, children, and the elderly. It can occur independently or can be associated with another disease, such as systemic lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. The prevalence of fibromyalgia varies in different countries. In Sweden and Britain, 1% of the population is affected by fibromyalgia. In the United States, approximately 4% of the population has fibromyalgia.

hi im robin, i live in sydney nsw and i have used cannabis for years now as a way to control the painful effects of a stroke (cause, AVM). i am paralyzed by the stroke and I became a chronic epileptic needing large doses of anti-epileptic medication. yuk, it was a nightmare, the medication deadened me, it stole the luster, life was a series of grey days...

so after several years of this grey day i stopped taking the meds, i have never had another seizure, doctors frequently warn me to get back on the medication but its been nearly 15 years now and things are fine, i haven't had a single seizure.

I was having episodes all the time on the medication, weeks in hospital recovering from deep seizures, loosing my memory, forgetting how to talk and do simple things then I stopped taking everything and started cannabis.

even though my brain scan is still very irregular (highly electrical) it never spills over into a seizure... the control of the paralysis pain (spasticity) is good as well, when i cannot get cannabis i need to get codeine forte which doctors freely proscribe for me but which causes all sorts of ugly side effects i would rather not deal with...

    Hi there

I recently cloned from a plant in its 5th week of flower. Indeed, the best choice ive ever made. The regrowth is phenomenal, at least 17 shoots thereby making for a brilliant mother plant. I have now cloned from the mother and have 17 little gorgeous babes on the way. All in uniform height width etc. Im using a 400 watt (Son_T-ARGO) 2 m by 1.2 Growlush tent, a 40 watt inline fan, and of course fan for circulation. Everything is postive, even tried yeat and sugar in bottle with airholes for co2 and im not complaining, apart form the smell, more like a brewary than a grow room lol. I love groeing as it has opened up a whole new world of plant science for me. This plant will certainly overturn governments one day.

    Peace

    Hi there

I am currently studying psychology (last semester) and am seriously considering marijuana for my thesis, that is, , myself as the main participant. Given the ethical dillemas concerning marijuana use in scientific stuides, i figure this is the best i can do. I am certainly excited and motivated to assist getting the message out to the public arena. Can anyone offer any advise, or any contacts that could assist me in my research. It will mainly concern sleep behaviours and the benifits of canna. Addtionally, i would like to investigate the benifits of medical marijuana for adult ADHD. As i am a proud ADHD individual, and find this miracle plant benifical, i would like to contribute to research knowledge concerning this area. Does anyone know where or who an aspiring academic can contact regarding the aformentioned plans.

    Thanks Peeps

  4. Ok, done my little shopping trip and got my lamp setup now. 400w HPS Sylvania globe with Powerplant ballast and White wing style shade. Seller was a nice bloke, everything was in v.good nick, good value for $41. I wonder if that Sylvania globe is actually made by Philips because both of these are made in Belgium. These big mobs do that sort of thing; make it all on the same production line with minor differences (for example the Son-T having that bit of Xenon(?) for the blue spectrum) for whatever brand/price point they want to sell them at.

Must say though, them old school ballasts are heavy little buggers, thank your favourite deity that it was only a 300m walk to the bus stop. I got a old growing cannabis book, the type you'd get in Kings Cross, so it'll be reading material at least, not necessarily a bible as such. And thrown in the deal was a Canna Ultimate Grow DVD as well. So even if people have some misgivings about me getting 2nd hand gear that's fair enough, but at least it isn't your money, so you have permission to laugh if/when shit goes wrong with it.

Next thing on the shopping list is a cool tube, and a 400W Son-T globe from a mob up on the northern beaches i found on ebay.

I'm also going to have to look at getting pots, coco, clay balls, pretty much the setup as per Grasshopper72's tutorial here , as this is the setup i'm looking at, being the easiest to do with the zero experience I have.

This may well be the first real tricky bit of the setting up stage. Getting all that big stuff here past the elders. With no car, and nobody that I trust to gimme a hand getting it here, that will take a little thinking. I may have to fork out some $ for a courier...

Ok, that's it for the moment, my up and down moods are going down again, ( :yahoo: ) so I'll go off to do some reading on the boards here think about stuff till my mood picks up again in a week or so, get some stuff, have the mood pick up and let the cycle start over again.

    Cop you later. :bongon:

  5. Hey Guys and Gals and the in-betweens,

Just a multi-strain grow here from a "FOAF" .... The strains they selected were interesting hybrids and strains reknown for strong vigour and good potency, the purpose is to select some mums and to test out the new rig (recirc system with hydroton).....I believe they have found a few candidates for mums already ... the Matanuska Tundra x yumboldt and a jack herrer plant ....Strains are as follows (I forgot to add a strain to the description of my blog - whoops, these things are easy to lose track of) .....

Jack Herrer (GHS),Acid (Diesel) - Paradise seeds, Matanuska Tundra x Yumboldt (original yumboldt and matanuska tundra !! :) Sagar's), Kaia Kush (Super Silver haze x OG), Buddhas sister (somas), Strawberry Diesel (Rez dog) x NYCD (Somas) - Sagar's and an autoflowering strain..... I will post pics soon..... Theyre only a few weeks old and are fat bushy ladies :) All strains are feminised... will be an interesting run.... they are going to let them bush out with an extended vege time, they have plenty of space..... lots of lighting.... perfect temps and a greattttt lineup of nutrients/stimulants/additives of sorts.... going to push these plants as hard as they can be..... The grow style is SOIL INDOORS :o oh nooooooooo ..... NOTTT SOILLLL INDOORSSSSS bad results from soil indoors people ramble (over and over again) .... well, the soil/perlite/coco mix they use has never had any problems whatsoever.... I guess they can test the theory that soil is not a good medium for indoor grows, right ? .... We'll see.....

Okay, pics will follow shortly, take it easy, butttt errrr take it !!! :) !!!

    Peace n pot,

PS- Pics will be added gradually ...... and not always on a continual basis.

From the auto flowering parental strain that led to White Dwarf hybridized with an exceptional skunk type female, and crossed to maintain the auto-flowering pattern, is born Red Dwarf : a compact, female, auto-flowering, resinous plant with intense smell and extreme power. The low branching and compact bud make it ideal for growing indoors and outdoors in reduced spaces. Red Dwarf blooms in just 2 months after sprouting the seed until maturity , regardless if the lights are on for 12 or 24 hourse. this makes it perfect for indoor-outdoor-greenhouse to achieve a massive early crop production. Besides that, it is a small-sized discreet plant which can be hidden away from possible onlookers. Its resistance and short cycle reduce the chances of having insect or disease problems during its growth; this variety is a great chioce for beginners and experienced growers alike. And will amaze everybody with its ground-braking and outstanding high grade quality and yields. this plant can go outside from may and will be mature by july and so on until oct. until november in a greenhouse. welcome to the age of auto-flowering genetics. growing high quality weed has never been easier.

Hit with pk 13/14 last week, full strength last night. 22CF, Have been increasing over each feed, no burns :bongon:, no mites . last pk tmrrw. Then canna a&B with earth juice catalyst, rhizotonic. Suppliers out of cannazym

Jack smells so sweet like an incense stick. brush it and yum.

AK has pink pistills and smells skunky

    CS smells fruity -

JKxCheese - can't decide, one seems to be more like jack in its bud formation and the other has closer nodes and less stretch. Coco has been first class to work with. Put some cuts (taken 2 weeks into bud) in a small pot and humidity dome and they all rooted real well and quik, might stop using peat pellets. Time to get next batch ready.

Stealth cab is standing the test, had people sitting next to cab without asking or wondering, :bongon:. Luv the scrubber, no smells. Only have a slight hum from turning extraction to low - must sort that out for peace of mind. Temps max 29, min 18.

3-4 weeks to go! Everything humming alone to plan. Selective Trimming on some shade leaves. Try n get the small popcorns to get some light for some bubble hash.

We are just finalising some last things with the strain guide and testing it for bugs to the extent that we can , Hopefully this week we will open it up again to the public , it's far from the end of work with the strain guide though there is still allot I would like to do with it and additional small changes that we would like to implement. The purpose of this release was to fix bugs that where stopping the Strain Guide from functioning properly and to change the way that a strain report was done.

Before you had to answer all the questions and they where displayed all on one page , the amount of reports we got was minimal at best and we agknowlage that at times this was because we where asking for allot of info , some of which you wouldn't be able to recall for old grows. This has been totally changed now by splitting the strain report form into several steps , the first page we are asking for the info that we feel is mandatory for a decent strain report , Once you have filled this first page out and submitted it , your taken to the optional area's where you can either fill out more info about the grow and or just skip ahead to uploading images. If you don't want to fill out additional info and you have no images simply fill out the first page , move to step two and then close the browser window.

There is also now a bug report feature which i encourage anyone that has an issue to use to inform me about problems, Suggestions for the Strain Guide are also encouraged there is still allot of work to be done before we will all be 100% happy with it but with every users help and comments we can get there ten times faster. They can be made via a comment here , in the suggestion thread on the forums or even use the report a bug feature on the strain guide itself :bongon:

A while back i had stumbled upon a member asking for some Funny jokes about stoners ") well here you go buddy. I hope you enjoy them all :bongon:

:D There were 3 men and they all died in a car crash and went to hell. When they got there the devil asked them all in turn a question.

To the first he said "what was your biggest sin on earth?" and the man replied "Oh man I just love alcohol and being drunk man" so the devil showed the man to a room full of alcohol of every type and description and he put the man inside and said "see you in 100 years" and locked the door.

To the second man he asked the same question and the man replied "oh man I just love to have sex with the ladies, I was really unfaithful to my wife man". So the devil took the man and showed him to a room full of hundreds upon thousands of georgeous and beautiful naked women. The man ran inside and the devil said "see you in 100 years" and locked the door.

The third man's answer to the question was "oh man I just LOVE weed! Im high all the time man and I can't live without it!". The devil showed the man to a room packed with the most amazing grade-A bud you've ever seen, stacked to the roof! The man went inside and the devil locked the door after saying "see you in 100 years".

100 years later the devil came by to let the three men out. He opened the door to the first man's room and found the man collapsed on the ground, passed out with empty bottles laying around him and puke all over him. He was a mess.

The devil opened the 2nd man's door and the man came running out of the room and cried "IM GAY! IM GAY!". Finally the devil came to the third man's room and opened the door. Sitting in the middle of all the bud, in the exact same position the devil had left him in was the man. He looked up at the devil and with a single tear rolling down his cheek he asked ; "hey man, got a light?"

:D A stoner walks into an appliance store and asks the owner, "How much for that TV set in the window?"

The owner looks at the TV set, then looks at the stoner, and says, "I don't sell stuff to potheads." So the stoner tells the owner that he'll quit toking and will come back the next week to buy the TV. A week later, the stoner comes back and says, "I quit smoking pot. Now, how much for that TV set in the window?"

And the owner says, "I told you I don't sell to potheads!" So the stoner leaves again.

He comes back a week later and says, "How much for that TV?"

The owner says, "I'm not going to tell you again, I don't sell to potheads!!!"

The stoner looks back at the owner and says, "How can you tell I'm a pothead?"

The owner looks back and says, "Because that's a microwave."

:D A stoner walks into a gas station and asks the dude at the counter, "Got any weed?" The man politely replied, "Um, no sir. We do not sell marijuana here." So he left.

The same guy comes back the next day and says, "Got any weed?" The man behind the counter, although slightly annoyed, patiently replied, "No sir. We don't sell marijuana." So the man went home.

He goes once again to the gas station. And again, he says to the guy working there, "Got any weed?" By this time the other dude was pissed. He yells, "You freakin' refer-lovin', pot-head burn-out! I told you, we don't sell that crap here! If you ever come back in here asking for that filthy crap again, I'll nail your freaking feet to the floor. Got it? Now beat it before I call the cops." So the stoner left.

The next day he went back to the same old place with a dopey smile on his face. He went to the cashier and said, "Got any nails?" The man hesitated, then replied, "um, no sir, we don't sell nails here." The stoner grinned. "Got any weed?"

:D A stoner stumbles out of a party, and starts to walk home.

One the way he bumps into a guy who is all bloody and mangled. The guy limps up to the stoner and says "Call me an ambulance!" The stoner looks at him for a second, smiles and says, "You're an ambulance!"

:D A hippie was walking down the street one day when a pixie pounced on him. "Today is your lucky day!" said the pixie. "I'm gonna give you two wishes. What will the first one be?" The hippie thinks for a moment and then says, "I want a never-ending joint." So the pixie snaps his fingers and there is this king-sized joint. The hippie jacks it up and starts puffing. After five hits the joint is still the same length. Next the pixie says, "...And number two?" The hippie replies, "This is so cool man! Gimme another one!"

I got more if you are interested:) thanks~Satanicwelder_420

    Hello Australia:

This is me making my introduction to you wonderful people out there! I'd welcome your comments. Please write back. I'm after some general information as I live in Canada right now and I have to come back to Australia because my nursing degree is going to expire unless I work over there. I need the cold weather and the mountainous regions inwhich to live so the first thing I need to know is whether or not that area exists in either western Australia or South Australia. I'd appreciate your comments.

In Canada you'll stand a very good chance of earning $2400 a pound for any form of decent Kush whether it be outdoor or indoor. But if you try and grow anything else you'll have a hard time finding a bulk buyer and will have to sell on your own most probably. That's probably because some of the weed (not all) gets funneled down into the USA and market demand calls for Kush Kush Kush! There's better stuff out there but it doesn't matter.

My next question is what strains sell in Australia really well? Can it be anything you can get your hands on or is it like Canada - Kush is best? How much does a pound sell for if you're the grower? Is selling weed dangerous down under as in you'll get a gun to your head very easily if you're not careful or are there decent buyers and sellers?

If you decided to grow outdoors in British Columbia Canada, you'd plant on or around May 1 and the plants would beg from May to August and then late August through September they would flower. Depending on the strain you'd harvest in late Sept. or Oct. When do you plant your babies in Australia if you're doing it outdoors? Is the soil sand or can you find good soil compositions?

I'd love to be educated if and when anyone has the time...

For those interested in medical marijuana there is an excellent organization called Patients out of time in the USA. It's run by a registered nurse and I am just starting to learn more about medical marijuana through this organization. While I was in Australia training I had cancer myself. Smoking weed was the only method to help prevent me from puking my guts out after every radio therapy session. I do want to get political in the near future and run for parliament.

If anyone out there has heard of Marc Emery, the prince of pot, you can write to him in Prison. He wazs railroaded by the conservative government in Canada and was sent down to the states to do five years for selling seeds to people in the states. Here is is mailing address. I guess everyone has a different reason for wanting to 'smoke' - My reason is just to escape

Not that there's anything really terrible about my life apart from the usual stuff (like not having enough money to cover all the bills) but nearly everyone has that problem. One of the good things that cannabis did for me was to get me off booze and also off tobacco.

I was working in old Mexico years ago and booze was cheap. Pretty soon I was going through a bottle of vodka or whisky in an evening. I would feel terrible next morning - hung over - mouth like a camel driver's armpit - all the usual things.

I was teaching English to Mexican business people at the time (as one does in a foreign country) and one of them turned me on to a joint!

Well I got no reaction whatever from that one - but the second time around it really hit me and gave me a good time. I went to a party. I soon found that most people were drinking like mad to get away from their problems and I was getting off on pot and having a great time with no consequences. Well fact is I didn't get caught otherwise there would have been serious consequences.

Over there the law holds that you are Guilty until you prove your innocence . If there was a raid you would be busted just for being there! After that the problems would just multiply.

I used to smoke a lot of tobacco in those days and the dangers were getting more and more press - so one day I decided that I would just smoke some pot in the morning and see if I could do without tobacco all day. It worked for me - I had another smoke in the evening (of course) so that I wouldn't go back to by bad nicotine habit. After a week or so I was off tobacco for ever and even though a don't much decent pot to smoke here, I've never gone back to tobacco.

:thumbsup:I would be interested to hear other members reasons for taking up smoking pot ..

Hey all, I am new to the forum and new to growing. I have done allot of self research about growing and am also taking a botany class. In my botany class we have been experimenting with Ga3 and its aplication with bush bean plants. It works really well on the bush beans and so after allot of searching i found a water soluable GA3 powder containing 20% GA3. I have searched everywhere for sombody that has used GA3 on canibis plants and mostly come up with people using it to feminize seads and nobody that has used it for flowering, their where also allot of claims that it caused hermies. I have also found a spray that is made in the netherlands that says it is to be used 23 days into flowering (i think), or when the third node starts to flower. It is to be used again (I think) on the 43rd day of flowering. The company also makes a hydroponic version that is used in the res.

So my qeustion is, how, when, and what is the ppm, of the GA3 when I put it in my RES?????????
