Hey guys, Following recent announcements from the Howard government, it's become clear that a very organised anti-cannabis offensive is reaching its peak. NAPNT have dubbed this The Cannabis Wars 2006, and I agree that this year is going to be a very pivotal year for our community. If you were ever contemplating getting involved, even if only in the form of anonymous donations or support in whatever way you can contribute, then NOW is the time. This is really important guys, we have a very important battle ahead of us and if we win strategic ground in the next few months then it's going to make all of our lives much easier, and keep our families that much safer. If…

Hi everyone, i'm just new to OS, but i was recently reading the QLD 'Drugs misuse act 1986' and the 'Drugs misuse regulation 1987' and noticed a possible loophole in the legislation. www.legislation.qld.gov.au/ LEGISLTN/CURRENT/D/DrugsMisuseA86.pdf www.legislation.qld.gov.au/ LEGISLTN/CURRENT/D/DrugsMisuseR87.pdf As stated in drugs misuse A86, part 2, penalties apply for a number of offences concerning schedule 2 substances, however, in drugs misuse R87 (part 5), schedule 2 lists only Cannabis Sativa. What about Cannabis indica? Could this be classed under Cannabinoids? Does anyone think that this could be a justifiable defence if someone was to be prosecuted, …

Greetings fellow stoners, I was unsure of where to post this, but I think as issue such as this would be highly politicised, so here we are... After recently watching a downloaded documentary, it really occurred to me how remarkable this plant is. Here are a few things that can be made: - Ethanol, a fuel (sure it can be made from other plants too, but due to the high cellulose content, cannabis is particularly suited for ethanol production) - Fibre for clothing etc (cannabis contains one of the strongest and longest fibres of any know plant( - Dietary supplement (the oil from seeds contains the most balanced combination of essential fatty acids found in nature) - Pa…

I was just watching the news on channel 7 and one of the reports they were doing was that police are asking for more powers when it comes to tapping phones calls reading peoples sms and emails and if you are doing nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about thay say ( i dont trust anything coppers say on this type of thing), as if things wernt hard enough for stoners and there safty with the way things are now if this gets passed it will make it even harder againe, it makes you think what sort of powers are the coppers going to ask for next...

In light of possible new laws regarding hydro grown weed, i've been wondering what is and isn't hydro. If someone was using Coco and hand watering with hydro nutes with no aparent hydro system ie: res tanks, pumps and pipes etc. Would that be hydro in the eyes of the law? After all the plants are in what looks to be soil. Coco maybe a safer option for our NSW members before too long.

Hry guys, ive browsed quite a few posts however am still a little unsure... when being prosecuted for cultivation in NSW, do you get catagorised by the number of plants or by weight of plant matter? More specifically, what is/will be the penalty for under five plants? And how many outdoor plants is the limit to still get the minimum charges? Also will up to 300gm still be the weight before deemed supply? ta

Dutch get first cannabis pharmacy From correspondents in Amsterdam February 02, 2006 THE Dutch city of Groningen looks set to open the Netherlands' first pharmacy totally dedicated to providing high quality cannabis for pain relief at affordable prices, it was reported today. Although cannabis is readily available in Dutch coffee shops, the foundation for Medicinal Cannabis Netherlands, a support group for patients, intends launching a pharmacy in the northern Dutch city so people can have access to high-grade cannabis for medical use, the NRC Handelsblad newspaper said. Groningen city council member Fleur Woudstra, who supports the cannabis pharmacy, told the paper…

Hi all, After having a quick read through this thread: http://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners...wtopic=5911&hl= I have had an idea, I think we should create a thread that is a resource for people to refute so called "experts" claims as to the destructive nature of MJ. What i was thinking of is just a simple list of links reference material, eg: university and medical studies and scientific evidence. Knowledge is power and it would be nice to have the amunition handy to refute obvious bullshit with facts rather than them putting down our views as "just that, your views". So please if you have any links to studies and scientific evedence please post…

Perhaps the most compelling reason so many Australians believe Schapelle Corby is innocent is the "selling sand to the arabs" argument: why would anyone smuggle marijuana to Bali when everyone knows it's so easy to get there? While drugs might seem freely available on the streets, the foreigners who live in Bali, including those serving time in Kerobokan jail, say that buying them is a very risky business because you never know if the seller is an undercover police officer or a police informer. For that reason, westerners in Bali are prepared to pay premium prices for marijuana if they can get it from other Westerners, as that's the best way to ensure they are not goi…

Its amusing (and disappointing) to listen to people reasoning as to why weed should be illegal. The usual argument is either: a ) "Its illegal!" or b ) "Its bad for you!" Both of which i think are pretty weak. Being illegal isn't cause for something to be illegal, and there are a lot of things worse for you than a bit of weed (ciggarettes to take the obvious example). Those arguments are usually countered by: "Its different!", "ok...how?" at which point they usually freeze and change subject What reasons have you heard while talkin to people about the legality of cannabis?

Have 5 plants in a back room of the house I am living with. My roomate and I are doing it together 50/50. (Known him 8 years, lived with him for 8 yrs so its not a just met him kind of thing) I have a problem. He wants to get fans and A/C installed for summer, fair enough, he owns the house, so he's getting an electricion to come over and quote then install em. The guy won't actually need to go in the room but i'm worried about the fact that he will be in the roof and the outlet exhaust goes up there. One of the fans being installed is the room directly next to the grow room. I've pleaded with him to not have the electrician come over till its all flowered, dried and …

I just am about to go home (Queenland) from a holiday and I bought this really good cheap as water pipe(7.95) from some asain store and I was wondering if I would get into any trouble if I put it in my suitcase for when I go home. It will just be a domestic flight and I was wondering if I could get into any trouble at all if some x-ray dude saw it. It hasn't been used at all and is clean as a whistle. I was also wondering if the laws are different in Qld than in any other places. Any help would be most apreciated Wez
