What is and isn't hydro?

Recommended Posts

so if i hand water its not hydro alot of shop are trying to push this atm coco hand watered under lights aparently not hydro has anyone tried this in the court system.

I really wouldn't belive that hey , it sounds like someone just tryign to reap more money out of people who don't know any better and at the end of the day it is not them that is gonna have to convice a judge what they should or shouldn't be calling hydroponics ,

think about how you would react if somoen told you you where wrong calling something what the current laws define it as , and then imagine that this persons punishment is totally up to yourself . now answer the question would you give this man any leinency that you didn't have to after the arguments they put forward ? Keepign in mind that if you go leinient your setting a precedent for other growers to try and follow and fall under to avoid the full punnishment aswell

Hydroponics is to my mind growing plants in any media (soil, soil-less, inert media like perlite clay and rockwool) or even without any media like water cultures, where the primary source of nutrients supplied to the plants is through a nutrient solution applied to the roots.

If you get your nutrients by dissolving them from the media or fertilising pellets rather than applying them solely in the water itself, then you're not using hydroponics. This generally means some kind of potting mixture or soil, and associated breakdown of nutrients through the soil microlife.

However, a plant in a pot of soil but with the majority of nutrition supplied through liquid nutrients in solution is also a kind of hydroponic cultivation, as the soil itself is simply providing a support for the roots, not the minerals itself, after a while anyway.

You can grow hydroponically indoors or out, and whether there is an automated watering system or it is hand watered using a watering can is irrelevant to my mind. So long as the primary source of mineral nutrition is through a nutrient solution it's hydroponic growing.

IMHO. :)

thanks Pure i thought the same just a stunt but after hearing simular here and there just wanted to find out how much truth was in it. To this blokes understanding automated feeding was crossing the line. hydroponics = The growing of plants in nutrient with or without sand, gravel or other inert medium to provide mechanical support. dictionary meaning does not mention light at all .

Waste the wigs time!!!! And then appeal!

OMFG Aussies dont just lie down and take it! Your rights are being seriously fucked with and it will only get worse if you allow it to continue in so mild a manner.

You have every right to a hearing and a fair trial. In this you should tie up as much resources and time as possible.

Why? - So they can see the error of their ways.

So marijuana becomes disproportionately costly to deal with.

Hydroponics deserves a specific classification and if LEO haven't got one for the judge a good lawyer will piss on the case easy. Force them to say what they reckon hydro is and in doing so you'll probably destroy loads of other cases already processed and others pending.

Get every hydro case you can find then and spend an envelope and stamp on each teaching the victims the game of tying up everything.

When they finally try classify it a good lawyer can do even better - mess with the legal systems pig ignorance of all things horticultural and hydro.

Then start throwing nft dwc mediumless aeroculture etc etc in the courts face (via a lawyer) till your grow is reduced to a mechanically incompetent amateurish attempt.

Make hydro look like rocket science and LEO look like imbeciles :thumbsup
