Pic 1 : Here they are just before "chop chop " Pic 2: This is the screen removed from the box, plants still intact on th screen , up against the wall. Pic 3: The same screen with plants removed and the shade cloth in place, this becomes the drying rack. Pic 4: Shows the rack back in the cabinet, loaded with busicles, the lower veg matter on the floor of the cabinet is leaf/ste/trim, this will turned into honey oil ( nothing goes to waste here ) Pic 5: Close up of the good bits of the harvest, there was a huge ammount of under canopy fluffy buds, not nice to look at but should still smoke up nice. thanks for reading , Rattdogg

The other day whilst out riding my bike(in Adelaide) i came across someones 50l pot socks that had been dumped by the side of the road(by some irresponsible grower)still full of medium and the remains of a plant that had been harvested. The remains of the plant was only the base and all the main branches had been chopped. But the bit left behind was this gnarled mass of branches starting right from the very base of the plant at the level of the soil. I counted about 20 or so main brances coming off the base of the plant and they were all very chunky. The main stem was only a few cm's long from which these 20 branches stuck out of. I have never seen anything grown like thi…

one of my plants is ~3.5 weeks old and has four decent sets of leaves aswell as the intial 4 leaves and four more sets of growths out the top which look like they want to make up the 7th set. Aswell as this theres like 10 new smaller leaves coming out of each side of every point where a stem branches off main stem. this is my first time growing but this seems like alot of leaves. is this more than usual? (i've been using growrite if that matters) is this a good or bad thing?? my mate's mate who think he knows everything bout weed, says to chop off all the lower leaves any tips or pointers?? Pete

Hi all, been a while since I asked anything, and this has been wracking my little brain for a bit. I remeber WC saying something about experimenting with rootpruning bubbler plants, something a lot less stressful than the comparitive effect on a media based plant. I've had to thin out the canopy substantially on Bacchus, the bubbler plant, and about 1/3 of the total canopy and vegetation is now pruned away, with the major branches and buds turning to veg now. The rootmass, whilst large, still has some room to grow, but I was wondering whether a root prune at this stage would be a good idea, to allow for fresh root growth to come through, as well as getting rid of any …

Just wondering about something, a long time back when I was first thinking about giving indoor a go, I saw a post about something very interesting.... The general gist of it was that normal topping, (by removing the tip of a branch so that it will then produce two growths instead of one, with more tipping you can increase the amount of tops and theoretically, increase the overall yeild per plant as well....) was bad for plants because every time you do it the plant has to recover for a couple of days, maybe more, then if you keep topping, growth can be stunted and slow.... This guy would take the tip and instead of removing it, take a scalpel and cut it in a pattern whe…

Hey , I'm back, ok well i thought this site had gone to shit as there was a long period of time when i kept getting error msg's. I was really looking forward to doing a grow diary as well. Anyway to cut a long story short, im currently near the end of my first cloned scrog grow, just started flush today so should only be 2weeks max, will keep you updated on yield and so forth. I have recently recieved some grade A genetics from Nirvana Seeds, NL special Bogbubble Bog Sweetcindy99 x Sweet tooth and good old skunk1 really looking forward to scrogging the Bogbubble, has a turn around time of 45-50 days :)Nice fat colas too. Ok but as i havnt fullfilled my promise to…

I know of one technique for speeding up maturation, which is: Decrease the on/off cycle to 6hours on and 12 hours off. The effect being that each four days you get five grow days. It may even be possible to reduce the off peiod to 10 hours and have a 16hour grow day. The only problem with this technique is that a much smaller and inferior crop would result. I would not recoment this method for fat juicy buds. But if you want to produce some seeded nugs, then this might be a good method to use. I don't know what the end result might be though, maybe scrawny little seeds similar to wild hemp? I hope not Does any one know other methods for speedung up maturation? And what…

Well actually just maximum yield. Krusty Freedom Bucket System 1. Constant top fed nft 2. Seeper Hose in Bottom Bucket with 6" 15.25cm riser between buckets 3. One light per plant 1000w where plants are on all four sides. 600w between 2 plants. 4. Stages are Clone Pre-veg Veg and Bloom The layout above is bloom. 5. Basic layout of 4 plants with a 1k light and four 600w. 6. Root Clones in cheapo-aeroponic tub Preveg in 1-2 gallon pots veg in 5 gallon pots and veg in same just in different size geometry. Essentially ~1lb-2lb per plant is possible depending on strain. I will be back with more details later OG is so slow nobody has posted for a…

Here is the shit, too many M.J. These are my ak47xc99, afghani#1 and G13, and an unknown strain. I managed to keep 1 each of my clones alive but they stressed a bit and i lost the other 1/2, Now ive the problem that they are too bushy, maybe left in veg too long ( trying to keep em alive) they are too bushy for my area and too many lats to scrog etc. I have been told to cut off the lower buds and branches to let the other do better, but hey where do i cut and how do i cut??

Here`s a pic. of a Skunk#1 .The plant is just over 4 weeks old from seed. It`s growing in Cocopeat.Using a 400W Son T Agrp Lamp.Temperature stays between 20 - 28 degrees celicius.Humidity is between 50-75. I thought I`d tie down a few branches to help the light reach the lower areas. Let me know what you think ? Is it a reasonable size for it`s age , do you think? (It`s about 2 foot tall -from the medium) The colour of the plant is much healthier than it appears in the pic.

Supercropping? 1 2

I understand the principles behing Supercropping, but what is the difference in yield if it is not done?.I like the idea of a huge crown that pokes up like the Eiffel Tower.Yet i have seen some pics with the plant being supercropped and the yield that the plant can get seems so much more.Is it best for the plants to be cropped if you have a small growing space?.And does it affect potency in anyway?. Thanks

Sexing, and questions on mother plants 1 2
by Guest- 13 replies

Alright ... I can see this question getting kinda huge and involved so I'll keep it as brief as possible. I'm a little dubious as to which method to sex plants with. From my research I know that there are the main 3 ways... observing preflowers, flowering clones, or flowering then revegging. Has anyone observed the preflower technique to work successfully? It sounds like quite easy but how reliable is it? Flowering clones seems to be the best method, but how long would this take? From what I've been reading, obviously you must wait until your plants are old enough to take cuttings from, then one must wait until the cuttings are rooted and then more waiting until the…
