Hopefully you guys and gals can help me out. I've just aquired a cupboard (2m high , 1metre wide , 600mm deep) I need a bit of help decking it out, I realise there are other sections for some of my questions but I would rather have only one thread so as not to confuse my self. Okay, first up, how many plants could fit in this cupboard? I am hoping at least 3 (the seeds genetics are sativa dominant) but I have seen a thread mention a 3foot by 3foot and 7foot high cupboard could grow 9 2-2.5foot high plants, which seems like too many? I keep seeing both HPS and LED lights being suggested. For 3 plants I was thinking of using a 250watt HPS, 400watt seems a bit more risky…

Hi Fellow Aussies. First time poster here and was wondering if anyone here has tried or have any advice on panels purchased direct from China? Has there been any posts referring to these lights and the quality of end product? I have some input with respect to these panels but would like some input before I getting into my rant.

Well after lots of thought and research, I finally threw caution to the wind and ordered a 315 watt - 780 watt, variable power and colour temperature D Papillon ( see here ) http://glandorehydro.com/shop/lighting/d-pappilon-400v-double-d-630w-new-dimmable-twin-globe-system-just-arrived/ I was up for a new set of bulbs for the the old HPS, so just felt if not now ...when. I will do a report and provide some shots when it arrives... I will be in the last weeks of flower so it will be good to see the transition and if there is a noticeable difference. Here is a shot of the current system today. I will post the new system as soon as it arrives.

Hi everyone looks I'll be growing indoors again and was looking at upgrading my old ballast. Any one have any thing to say about the lumatek pro 600w 400v digital ballast, I have been doing a fair bit of reading and they look fantastic, 400v lighting at less than half the cost of other 400v systems. Just checking before I buy. Link- http://aquagardening.com.au/product/lumatek-400v-600watt-switchable-electronic-ballast-lamp/

Hi there, Does anyone have experience in splicing off two pre exisiting light circuits in the home to run a small 2400w light management unit? So thats two seperate electrical lines running into a single light management unit. Im looking at only 11-12 amps of continuous load here. Would it be better to run off a single pre existing lighting circuit rather than two? Thanks in advance

Heya all just doing a bit of trawling on the web and came across idea's and plans for extracting / filtering air from underground and/or though a 'Thermal Labyrinth' to cool it. There is this awesome PDF file that someone has done up http://www.inive.org/members_area/medias/pdf/Inive%5CPalencAIVC2007%5CVolume1%5CPalencAIVC2007_109.pdf And also Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground-coupled_heat_exchanger There are a few pro's and con's, but the major con is the moisture build up that can lead to mould and mildew, so you have to have an active (dehumidifier) or passive (desiccant) systems that can treat the air stream. Would this work for some members to he…

hey guys i see there remarketing induction lighting in the new age of indoor growing, i have a few questions hopping someone can answer has anyone used the induction grow lights yet? is there any difference from getting a specifically designed induction indoor grow light to the average induction light with a standard MH/HPS color ie: 3000k-5500k (fluros u can use warm white or cool white) are induction lights the same? strolled thru youtube and seen all the dumb ass videos but it looked informative and they were getting some nice flowers, i see these inductions lights are taking a trend in the USA among growers im thinking about dipping my toes yet again i got bum…

Hi folks, would anyone know how to decrease humidity without having to spend coin on a dehumidifier? I have flood and drain system under 2 LED panels with temps ranging from 21-26 day and 14-19 night. I run a 1120cfm extraction fan with controller running @ about 25% at 15 min on - 30 mins off with the lights on and a 350cfm inlet fan running 24/7. My res is outside of grow space but has not helped. There is also a pedestal fan running as long as lights are on. Any ideas for an easy fix here without having to fork out the cash for machine? Space is 1.6m x 1.4m x2.1 but only half is populated with growth.
