Plug in safety switch

Recommended Posts

seeing i have an old ballast and im now over LED lights and spent my budget on those lights im thinking of running this old hps ballast but it doesnt have a built in fuse like some ofthe good aussie magnetic ballast do

do u think using a power point plug in safety switch would stop a short in the old ballast if it was to happen while im not around?

Hi 68 it will only stop a short to earth not active to neutral you need an overload device (fuse ) for that, but it will not hurt. You can buy combined rcd/mcb 4 outlet orange coloured work site boxes from any electrical wholesaler even bunnings/masters might have them to fully protect all your plug in equipment.

I recomend useing them for added safety.
