From Jorge Cervents Froum Original link: http://pureanalytics.net/blog/2011/0...ativa-strains/ Finding CBD- A Look at Trends in Indica and Sativa Strains by ADMINISTRATOR on MARCH 20, 2011 · 2 COMMENTS A question frequently asked in the pursuit of high-CBD medicine or high CBD-strain development, is CBD more commonly found in Indica or Sativa? does not have as straightforward an answer as some would suggest. Research conducted at University of Indiana and the Canadian Institute of Agriculture shed light on the characteristics of strains most likely to contain CBD in the final product. The ratio of cannabinoids in a plant, the amount of THC compared to the amount of CB…

http://www.bmj.com/content/348/bmj.g2737?ijkey=6vmZEIHTOmpDXxz&keytype=ref Whilst not a peer-reviewed article, still a well written article. "This is one of a series of occasional articles that highlight areas of practice where management lacks convincing supporting evidence." "The medical use of cannabis was advocated in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s when clinical trials of oral synthetic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and other oral synthetic cannabinoids reported efficacy in controlling nausea in patients with cancer who were undergoing chemotherapy.1 Dronabinol (an oral synthetic THC) was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 1985 for this i…

Hi guys, I’m a researcher from Melbourne. I also produce a new little podcast called Psychotropic in my spare time. It's a slightly offbeat look at substance use addiction in all it's complexity. The aim of the podcast is to challenge some unhelpful stereotypes (and some of the extremely narrow-minded thinking about substance use that you sometimes see in the mainstream media) by surprising and engaging people in new ideas and stories about drugs and drug culture. You can check out the first episode of the show here: http://www.psychotropicshow.org/ I'm looking at doing an upcoming show about the marijuana leaf symbol and what it means to people who identify as bein…

Hey stoners, Burner here, with an unusual experience. Been smoking canna now for a good 27 years. One of my favourite numbers, many a great musician never passed this number, Kurt, Jim, and Jimi to name a few. But this has nothin to do with music, though I think I hear the fat lady starting to warm up! You see, i'm seriously considering giving the herb away, not that I want to, but because I'm over everything these passed three months have shown me. I was growing last year, then a break up with the missus, and subsequent relocation, and I was growing no more. Back to the dealer, back to average puff. Not pleasant, but necessary. Unfortunately, not the only customer eith…

I would like to share a graphic example of how THCA can effectively treat CDKL5 seizures - one of the more lethal pediatric seizures. The child I have been assisting with her CDKL5 seizure problem has just had a EEG to assess her brain function after starting a THCA tincture I made for her. This child spent 3 months in ICU and was close to death. Nothing at all was working. Half her daily dose of AED’s are attached. One week after starting THCA she was in Bear Cottage Hospice and shortly after that home. This child is seizure now free since starting THCA. Further, a video posted today showed the child animated and rolling on the floor, waving legs and arms in a concerte…

the most impressive plant pic i have ever seen. was in a small WA growbook. which was a colchacine treated female plant, it was so big, come harvest time i recon it would take ya a week to prune this freak of nature, every grow book looks into this compound, its been well know for years, and after seeing pics it really big time improves yield, but although every write up has read promising, no one seems to be talking about it, with some concerns about how safe is ,it mainly the first gen being unsafe for consumption, it splits and multiples cromizones, which means leaves usually have up to 11 blades, with this compound produces up to 37 blades per leaf. and instead of bra…

Hello to the OzStoners community - here's an introduction to the latest GDS 2014, which has a focus on cannabis this year. Drugs are a funny thing. Lots of people take them, lots of people talk about them – often not knowing much at all about what they are talking about. The media sometimes does a fantastic reporting on drug issues, other times it’s just not useful or accurate. Sometimes it’s just plain rubbish. Researchers do some interesting stuff but most of it‘s focused on the harm that drugs cause – not the pleasure they can bring to people’s lives. Global Drug Survey hopes to change that. Collaborating with over 20 media partners and host of researchers and harm …

Hi there, I signed up to this site in the hope of getting some advice, feedback and shedding some light on an issues Im having.. My backstory, generally healthy female, been smoking daily for about 15yrs (just a few joints at night) usually hydro because all I can seem to get in Melb. 3 times in the past 6 months I have suffered what seems to be some kind of weird side effect when Ive gotten stoned. I use to smoke about 4 joints a night, but since this has been happening Ive cut it down to 2, but its happened again the other night ! So, what happens is about 10 mins after I finish my joint I all of a sudden start feeling really light headed, dizzy a bit nauseaous, …

Could cannabis have antipsychotic properties? In addition to psychoactive chemicals, cannabis contains components that may have a protective effect in mental illness.http://www.neura.edu.au/sites/neura.edu.au/files/event_images/candybar-734.png http://www.neura.edu.au/sites/neura.edu.au/files/event_images/tim-285.jpg When Dr Tim Karl, a senior scientist at NeuRA, says he believes that marijuana has potential as a treatment for schizophrenia, he’s adding fuel to a very contentious fire. Marijuana – or cannabis, as it is otherwise known – is a controversial substance, particularly in light of evidence that it can trigger the development of schizophrenia in some people. But…

Science for stoners: What is marijuana “abuse?” http://www.salon.com/2013/10/26/science_for_stoners_what_is_marijuana_abuse/ interesting read... may make you think I relate to this quote a bit too much "Consider, too, the marijuana use of a person with a mindless job (not operating heavy equipment or working with dangerous materials) who finds that marijuana use makes her more pleasant, more patient and less irritable. Her employer doesn’t know she uses marijuana and is satisfied with her job performance. Does the fact of her being “high” at work automatically categorize her “use” as “abuse”? Does being altered necessarily mean being impaired?" carry on

Im almost certain Im posting in the wrong place, but couldnt seem to find a forum to fit my question so.... I'm a bit of a binge smoker, I go hardcore for afew weeks, then take a break and have afew weeks off smoking. Every time I decide to quit, Im fine up until about day 7. Then I get really moody/depressed/angry. This lasts for another week or so until I start up again. Can anyone tell me what the cause of this is? Does anyone else get similar problems?

Hey guy's, got a genuine querie here for the gastronomes. Made some Canna butter recently, and used it to make two cakes and the icing. One was a vanilla cake, one a chocolate, both required equal amounts of butter, yet the vanilla cake floored everyone, while the chocolate was a mellow, cruisy stone. Thought it may have been toxicity, so the next day, munched the cake the other way round, chocolate first, but was still floored by the vanilla....... any thoughts?
