Based on information, police raided the two businesses in Cullen Street, Nimbin, just after 11am today, conducting thorough searches of the premises and people inside. Hemp Resources has secured a contract to supply Australian grown hemp to Hong Kong after successful trial plantings in the great southern. The company is behind plans to set up Australia's first industrial hemp farm and eventually wants to create hemp paper and packaging. Raid nets $1m cannabis haul March 05, 2008 07:04am Article from: AAP POLICE said they have seized almost $1 million worth of cannabis that was growing inside two neighbouring houses in Sydney's south-west. Raids yesterday netted 443 cannabis plants from the two homes on The Broadway at Punchbowl, police said. Police said they also seized hydroponic growing equipment. They said 345 cannabis plants were growing in four rooms of one house and a further 98 plants were in the second home. No one was at either home when the search warrants were executed.
