Raid nets $1m cannabis haul

POLICE said they have seized almost $1 million worth of cannabis that was growing inside two neighbouring houses in Sydney's south-west.

 

Raids yesterday netted 443 cannabis plants from the two homes on The Broadway at Punchbowl, police said.

 

Police said they also seized hydroponic growing equipment.

 

They said 345 cannabis plants were growing in four rooms of one house and a further 98 plants were in the second home.

 

No one was at either home when the search warrants were executed.

 

There have been no arrests.
