Hi all, So I was looking through a few YouTube vids, and came across a vid called monster cropping. It's short vid, and really quite, so I started to have a look on the web. When I have found many people saying its works, you get more yeild ect ect. But I have not found any really hard info on why and how it work. I am more interested in it as the whole theory of taking cuttings in your 3 rd week of flowering and having them ready to go in as soon as you harvest!!! Sounds tops. First time poster here, just a quick question on pot size. A few years ago i was growing afghani and hindu kush, i was growing them in 140mm pots, good quality potting mix in good lighting in my orchid house. I'm assuming due to the pot size the plants would only get 15-20cm tall at max. I'm now getting back into cultivation, unfortunately i no longer have the pure strains any more so will just be growing bag seed. Again i will be growing outdoors. I plan to germinate indoors in jiffy pots then transplant outside into larger pots. Dont want anything too big just to make hiding a little easier if need be. What pot size would be recommended?

So another quick question - am growing outdoors, if that makes much difference, but if I wanted to add another 3 or 4 plants to my grow is it going to be a better idea to order some more seeds and grow from seed or just start to trying to take clones of what I already have? Not that concerned about having all different varieties this grow so that isn't a factor in choosing seeds over clones. Will it make much difference either way? Is it maybe getting slightly late to be growing from seed now anyway, assuming ordering today and 10 days delivery it could be early December before they start to germinate.

I read that spraying 100ppm of gibberellic acid on a female branch once a day for 10 days will turn it male but because the plant is female it will have female chromosomes. Crossing the pollen with another female from a different mother will then create all female seed without risk of inbreeding. Does this work? Would save a lot of water carting if I could make my own all female seed.

Hey folks. Been having heat and grasshopper issues here so I built some little shadehouse's using shadecloth, some random wire I had lying around and nylon. The idea of the smaller shade hats is to be able to plant really young seedlings straight into the ground and just keep the heat off them a bit while they get established. Its also protects from any plant eating pests that like to knock them off. Tools I used Wire (from anywhere) Shadecloth 15% (the lightest gauge available) Long lasting string (hutchie chord) Multitool covered most things Needle i made from the wire . I got 1 healthy brown seed I been hanging onto and about 20 small white seeds I got from some bug the other day.. I have got 1 slightly split white one in water and a scrawney white one ...Anyone have any luck with small bag seed? The bud it came from was a nice smoke so hope it viable..

What the people's preferred methods of starting from seed? There seems to be many ways and some of the are markedly different to others. One way I read recently (on here somewhere) had the seeds float on the surface of water and germinate that way. Thought that was a strange and interesting way. In the past I've ranged from straight into soil, to rockwool and to laying them in moist paper towel. I quite liked rockwool. But I'm interest what other people prefer and why. For example I can see that soil might be bad due to the presence of pathogens. Thanks!

ok nub question here but, are there / is there any adverse effects if you start growing a plant one way then change it later? ie indoor / outdoor combo? for example: i want to start growing some plants, but i go on holiday in about 7 weeks for 2 weeks - so i wont be there to keep an eye on things. and its too short to get a decent grow. so what i want to do it plant the seeds outside in pot plants so i can look after them for now a bit b4 i go on holiday then hope that mother nature will keep em in check for 2 weeks - i can always put a small bit of slow release fert and / or trickle water. so then when i come back from holidays i can get my lights going and bri…

If you pollinated an AutoFem with Femined pollen(non auto) would the seeds off the Autoplant also be Auto or is that a dominant reccesive thing?

Hey all, saw a Turbo Klone today at the local hydro shop, they look sweeet, but thought this could be something that could be fun to build my own version and something a bit different to the old tried and true cuttings in rockwool and jiffys in the prop dome. Hi guys I currently have a 1.5 x 1.1 x 0.5m wardrobe with a 400watt ballast which can run either MH or HPS. At the moment I have some 4-5 week old medicine man and afghan seedlings growing under MH. I plan to take some clones once they get big enough, switch the MH for HPS for flowering and want to have another wardrobe just for the vegetation stage. So 2 wardrobes running simultaneously to keep the cycle going. I want to keep the power bill and heat as low as possible, so looking at getting either CFL or T5 lights for the vegetation cupboard. ATM I am looking at either something like this 6400k 2x55w bulb T5 setup on ebay or a growlush 6400k 130w CFL. Any tho…

New clone tent I picked up from Accent hydro,as you can see in the pics its got a table with a sweet top/work bench to fuck around on,plenty of room up there and even a little bin on the side,currently has 7 white widow clones and 3 pineapple chunk,and a couple of pineapple chunks from a while ago that rooted and I transplanted but neglected,so there getting some tlc with some Canna start and rhizo,clones are on demineralised ph'd water 6.0,cheers kk
