I’m hoping what I thought was a boy is actually a girl. My plant is just kind of marking time. I’m sure I can see teeny tiny white hairs on tiny buds. I have read about the vegetative state and I hoping this is what’s happening. It is not getting 12 hours darkness though. (outside in pot) Tonight at 6pm I plan to lock it in a dark robe inside. Then it will go out at around 6:15 in the morning. Am I doing the right thing? Thanks. BTW I'm new at this growing.....I think you can tell.

I have dabbled with growing in the past but never seriously. I have been a buyer for years and years. Now circumstances have changed and I need to grow for ourselves. I feel like the pressure is on. As luck would have it our first two plants were boys. Just what we needed I must say. The remaining plant from that batch it about 85cm tall but I can’t tell the sex. As far as growth goes it seems to be marking time the past couple of weeks. I have bad vibes that this is a boy too. Three strike outs from three is a bit depressing. I have three babies coming along but they are tiny. I am growing in pots with premium potting mix and use Seasol and/or Thrive. I live in a…

Hi Folks, I have searched around for a little bit and didn't really find the answer I was after - I just got a variety of seeds from a friend in the north of the country. Just wondering if it’s too late to sow them in the ACT for any results in an outdoor setting. I have a greenhouse to protect them from the Canberra cold but imagine hours of sunlight are of more concern. Any advice would be appreciated. Unfortuanly I won't be able to light artificially.... yet. Cheers

I was wondering out of pure curiosity, what makes the best bud's. I've heard some queenslanders say that the humidity makes the buds better but I've heard others say that the dry heat and occaisional cool crisp night's that you get in SA and around NSW southwest and VIC northwest during budding makes for a more potent product. Does anyone have any knowledge on this, could it depend on strain etc? Pretty intersting stuff I reckon

One of these could be handy. Was reading somewhere on here the other day that using an axe in the bush make a hell of a noise, and it sure does. HArd to explain when your excuse is a quiet bushwalk or something. But one of these might be alright. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Worlds-Fastest-Cutt...1QQcmdZViewItem cheers rob

I've been looking for effective ways to improve water retention and cut down watering frequency out in the bush. Currently, I find it very effective to dig a 50cm x 50cm hole, line the bottom with plastic and fill using soil made up of 40% composted sheep and chook shit, 25% wormcastings, 10% coco peat, 10% verm/perlite, 15% bush sand at site. I have lately added about 1L of expanded polymer water crystals to the soil in large clumps 10cm under, on the edge of the holes, to about 4 plants. This seems to be relieving the drought remarkably but I've read mixed reviews about these crystals. Some say they are fine for organic farming while others say they make the bud taste l…

Hey guys,1st time poster, long time lurker! what an awesome site this is! Well this is my first attempt at growing "green", Im just so sick of relying on scurge dealers and them in turn ripping me off one way or another so I thought "Fuck it" I would have a go myself. Being a lawnmowing contractor I decided to make my own "mix", I have a steady supply of grass to which i let rot down and steam in the bag for a few days, when it smells like ol' wifey on her monthly's) it then gets turfed into my "shitpile" and dug in, (talk bout steaming fucking hot!!) this is what she is growing in now, also put mulch on top, it has already started to break down and rot thanks to all the ra…

heya's. i'm looking for some advice on what might be a decent smallish strain i can put in my vege garden in canberra. some advice on where to get the seeds would be helpful too. i've had a bit of a look at the seed forum, checked out seedboutique.com but there is so much there, its hard to know what to get. i just want something that will grow quickly (due to late planting - early dec) and produce buds that give a nice happy high. also, is it maybe just too late to plant seeds now?

a mate of mines got a few plants growing outdoors in a shed and was just wandering when can we expect them to turn male/female? theres quite a few bunched together in a small area and there actually touching eachother so we're a little worried that the males are going to spread. how long once they show their sex does it take for this to happen?
