snails

Hi guys with all this rain we,ve been having i seem to have a problem with snails they,ve taken a distinct liking to my weeds any idea,s on how to get rid of em? and should i feed em again its just everything seems to have been washed outta the soil due to the bloody rain

Don't get to omany snail problems where I am, but I have read that surrounding ya plants with fresh saw dust (if that rain has stopped) wills top snails crossing the line. They also fill small jars with beer and bury it level withthe ground. the snails like the smell/tstae of beer, and fall in to drown.

 

Those are just a couple things I've read.

If you have some bare copper wire itchy, make a couple of loops around the base of each plant, away from the stem. Snails won't cross it.

Perlite around the base of your plants, mixed up with some smashed up eggs shells helps. Or you can buy things specifically to kill snails.
