Too late to start seeds?

Recommended Posts

Hey people here I have some pics of the other batch of seedlings I mentioned I was putting out into the bush. I must say the first batch was much better with a 9/12 germ rate with no runts opposed to the second with only 9/18 germ rate with one runt. Older seeds I'd say. These are cheese, Thai x chronic and Choc trip. I vegged the first batch under flouros fairly quickly (16 days), which gave them 4-5 nodes and a very strong foundation. My first plant (planted november`- around 3-4ft) began budding a few days ago so i've decided to double the amount of time i allow them under the lights (hopefully 8-10 nodes), then I can hope for around 1-2 oz per plant - Not shabby at all. The seedlings are at 14 days under flouros and have 3-4 nodes each. I have some extremely well composted organic soil ready which should be great. I'm starting to think that starting late with heaps of seeds may be better than a few at the start at the season (less work). I think next year I'll aim for 4-5 monster bushes and at the end plant like 200 seeds for an easier grow at the end (not to mention a whole lot of fun when choosing 20+ strains :peace: ). I have a mango revegging furiously and am planning on taking around 50 clones in a few weeks for early winter grow - worked awesomely last year (average 1.5 oz/plant). I urge everyone to take advantage of the aussie sun and global warming and grow outdoor continuously through winter (where there is only a few days of, if any, frost expected), using flouros to clone/germ and vegg for 4+ weeks. It works everytime with a good strain (i use mango). Anyone tried this before?

Hi guys I've just got here a few pics of the grow. The plants are around 25-35cm tall, so they are nearly hitting the roo/bunny cage (around 45cm tall) which i'm going to use to scrog (of course). I had the garden covered in bushes to hide from choppers but the internodal spacing could be tighter so i removed the bushes, so now they are in direct sunlight almost all day. I can't wait till they reach the cage and grow into a massive ball of buds! All of my other outdoor indicas are now budding so i think these little guys should soon too. They are around 35-40 days old now i think. Any idea when they might preflower/flower? I think i'm averaging 1 diary entry/week so i'll try keep that up. Cya

Hey people. Today I ripped the males (only 5/12 - not BAD). Turns out 2 of the biggest are female which is just super! As you can see (or can't - sorry about dodgy photo), The females range from about 25-65cm, and at under 7 weeks old they have grown up quite nicely i think. I decided against the scrog and took the top off the cage, and am going to tie down the plants to fill in the entire garden space (LST works for me every time). The males started to flower about 3 days ago so I'd say the girls have about 10 more days of veg time. The plant have really only grown up, not out at all really, so 10 days after tying them over i'm hoping there will be some decent stems coming out of the very tall main stem before flowering. I'll soon be using Ozi Magic Gro Juice and S.A A+B Flower Power to boost the growth on those stems, and will also be using S.A Organic A + B flowering nutrient for general nutrient. Tell us what you think (Couldn't get close enough for a good pic due to thickness of bush)
