retarded plant?

My most mature plant has to be retarded.

It looks like it has started flowering but there seems to be little growth.

Everything seems to be in s-l-o-w motion. Really slow!

 

Also several of the fan leaves are yellowing. Enough are doing this to bother me anyway.

 

I wonder what is going on with this plant? Why is nothing happening?

Can anyone help?

I never kept good records for this but I'd say 3 months old.

It had a rough upbringing initially but has recovered somewhat.

It is not the best looking plant but I'm hoping to harvest something.

 

There better looking youngsters coming along but they are late season.

Have you just switched it to flower? If so they do seem to sit there and do nothing for a couple of weeks then they go into a rapid growth spurt.

I hope you are right about the rapid growth Tom.

 

It is in natural light and has been 'sitting still' for about 12 days. It gets about 10 hours darkness at present.

It does look like there are a lot of tiny blooms ready to burst into flower.

They seem to have little white hairs and the odd brown ones.

Here's hoping anyway.

how long have you had the plant in flower for??

 

cause what it looks like to me is it has done its stretch period which pretty much happens from as soon as you throw to 12/12 this will usually last 3 weeks then the plant will pretty much stop growing upwards and start putting on weight in the buds.

 

The yellowing you say could just be the plant using up stored nutrience n its lower leaves which is a normal thing but depending on how many we talking about will depend on if this is the case or if you may need to increase the nutes your giving her.

 

what are you feedng the plant and how many times a week???

 

i wouldnt worry to much about the non upward growth as the plant looks well into flower to me and has probably just naturally stopped

It has looked this way for just on two weeks.

 

I have feed it Seasol about once a week and some Thrive every ten days.

I have just put a layer of compost over the potting mix.

BTW I thought the flowers had 'filled out' a bit today.

I wish I could discipline myself to stop looking at it every half hour.
