I currently have my lights on 18/6 from 3pm to 9am the thing that is giving me the shits is hearing the fan when the thermostat cuts in as it is pretty quiet at night so I want to set the timer from 6am to Midnight! What is the best way to change the timer settings, do I just give girls extra light for a day then set back to 18/6 Cheers Canaman

Hiyas again, Iv read alot about the need for ventilation in grow rooms, and i pretty much understand it, but my curious mind never rests and i need to know more. I got one main question about it, how does one know they have the perfect or imperfect balance of outtake/ intake? Iv got an idea but wasent sure so thought ild run it past you guys. Im thinking, apart from the fresh air all plants need, does the humidity and temperature play a role? i mean, im 99.9% sure they do, so if i had a temp and humidity monitor in the room is that the way to figure out what you need? From what i understand, the Optimum Tempeture is between 20/30 degrees, and humidity 40/60% …

hey guys how are we all..........quite new to oz stoners and yeah i got two 48w nelson CFL's. my question sorry if its noob but.....will these two be enough until abit before flowering and i can get more lights? one bulb its a natrual daylight 5000k and the other is a warm white 2xxxk 4got it im bakd at the momment so sorry for the typos. http://www.solarshop.com.au/main/images/48w_sml.jpgthese are the bulbs your help would be appreciated.........if no help for me do it for the weeeed cheers

Hi guys, for my first grow I want to veg some plants indoors before planting them outdoors.I'm wondering what light setup would be best for 5 plants, I'm guessing fluros are the way to go. I need to know what sort of globes/tubes and how much light they are going to need. Thanks heaps Jazzm

Omg its loud. Im thinking of taking it back because its so loud. What are some quiet models, or are they all gonna be gushing pretty good. Its a Can Fan 4' 178 cfm rating. Can i totally wrap the fan in towels or will there be a fire danger near the box with wires. Im thinking of just totally encasing the thing in towels and leaving in the box it came in. Sound good? Also what brands are really quiet....or do most people have to insulate and muffle the sounds no matter what. Maybe people can share their experience with these brands availabe at my local stores. Evening all Looking for some advice in regards to a good reliable carbon filter and fan setup to move 64cfpm. 150mm line being used. Budget of no more than $500. Am currently running a odorsok and inline fan and just got back and definatley need to do something about the aroma. Got some ideas now to illiminate some of the aroma but really need a more decent setup as my girls get left for more than a week at a time, and so obviously i need to stay ahead of my potential problems. prevention better than cure type thing Heres a Couple of my latest attached 6 weeks into flower Mr White

hey i have been looking for things that i have thought is called a y adaptor to connect my two cfl's into. i havnt been able to find theseany where so i ended up buying something called a Twin PAR 38 fllodlight. the guy at the shop told me that a cfl screw in globe would fit in so i swapped back the bayonet globes i had and got screw in ones. it says on that it is ment for a PAR 38 globe so i hope he is right. i hear you have to strip an electrical cord and then wire it to this holding thing but not sure where the cords go and all that. i left some pictures so hopefully someone can help us out. am i better off taking this thing back and getting something else? if so what …

I needed a spare 600w HPS globe & realized that the company I work for deals with GE Lighting, I contacted a fellow rep in NSW and called a favor and sent him down to GE in Smithfield and what do you know?? I ended up with 2 x Lucagrow 600 watters for well under what I would pay for just one at the local Hydro Shop! I believe that they do sell to the end consumer at the place in Smithfield and also stock complete lowbays or ballasts??, as my good mate called me and asked if I wanted just the globe or the complete unit, once he told me the price I had him grab the two! I also found another wholesaler that will sell wholesale and direct to the public as well, Anart…

Now I know Rose Gardener has asked this before but I am still a little unclear. I have this http://www.arlec.com.au/display.php?pid=101 This is the bottom view In the pic you can clearly see the green line for earth and the L for Loop. Does it matter which way the Active and Neutral go even when using a CFL If it doesnt matter Im away Cheers

heya guys! my mate was usin this account and diddnt no if he had been nice and said hello before he babbled and stuff. well then....HELLO! im going to be growing probly 4 plants in a homemade DWC bubbler, im just after info about, wen i should change the water, is it safe to have the rootes fullly submerged in the water, is it ok to veg and flower in this setup and wat can go wrong. i have done some research but value the opinions of the users of this sight far more (kiss ass) any help would be awesome thanks guys.
