Ok, I plan on running a 3x3 flood and drain table using the sea of green method. Will be getting a grow tent to make everything enclosed and keep light/odors manageable. I plan to run a 600 watt HPS over the 3x3 table. All plants will be grown at once, harvested, then a new batch of cuttings put in. I plan to do maybe 1 week or no veg time to keep them small and crank out in a quicker time. I will keep moms of the 2-3 strains I am growing at all times and clone them when needed. The moms will have their own smaller tent. My question is that I am thinking about using a cool tube on the 600 watt. I already have my inline fan which is decently powerful. I think around 250-…

Hi all i have recently started my 1st grow in my attic. i have 4 plants starting (Celtic hash, Hindu kush) under a 4 foot fitting with 2 grow lux tubes. Its a big attic so their is alot of air up there and i have a fan blowing over the soon to be plants. The only problem is sometimes during midday when the sun is beaming on the roof its pretty hot up there. I keep the bathroom fans running most of the day to bring fresh air into the roof. Is this going to be enough ventilation or will my plants not survive? Any help would be good. cheers jus

Hi everyone, I'm still at the planning stage. I need some expert advice and know-how for my first attempt at growing weed: For my grow tent (a space of 45cm x 90cm x 160cm) I plan on using 2 computer fans - one fan for ventilation to extract air out, and another fan which is apparently meant to cool things down....? ...let me get this straight: if I'm using a warm 250 watt CFL light (CFLs don't generate nearly as much heat compared to HPS), I still need to use a fan, right? And where exactly is this fan supposed to go? Right in front of the lamp? To the side? Or what about on the plants? Please clarify exactly WHAT needs to be cooled down - the plants or the lamp? Peo…

Hi everyone, First thread for me! I am trying to work out how to get my hands on some lights that are cheap if not free; can i use like lights from a pet store that a designed for lizards etc who need the warmth they had some 150watt lights and like some decent looking ?reflectors? that house them for a fairly decent price... can i use a couple of these instead of an expensive hydro light? update: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Reptile-Guys-Day-Li...1QQcmdZViewItem that ebay item, looks exactly the same (if not a different brand name, i remember reading very similar text on the box packaging) what do you guys think?

I recently converted a 2 door fridge into a mothers room, but have a heat problem ( a 400 Watt HPS sonti agro does that) so am using flouros while i decide which tact to take. My initial thoughts were to increase the fan output by buying a new one when a friend suggested maybe i try a cool tube. any thoughts appreciated.

Hello, If your going to cut decent sized inlet holes in the bottom half of your grow robe, How are you going to light proof them. Could you possibly cut round holes and use a PVC elbow for inlets ?

Hey, Can anyone recommend a decent 250mm Exhaust Fan from bunnings. Any decent brand/etc ? Something that'll displace a bit of heat/air, wont burn out easily, and I wont lose sleep with it being in the next room. Cheers.

My Friend , who lives in a flat has managed to gain control of a small cupboard in his bedroom. He managed to get a plant going in a hydroponic medium and has got himself a 125W enviro light. It seems to be giving really good results so far. But he's worried about the flowering phase. Here's a link to the lights . . http://www.3countieshydroponics.co.uk/system/index.htm I reckon as they're reasonably cheap and the space is very small - 1m x 1m x 1m he should go for the 250W red. Should he run the blue at the same time further down the plant or will it get confused. Also I don't think he should go for an HPS due to: 1) The heat would be risky in such a…

Ok, I have some Clipsal brand batten holders and I am trying to work out which terminal is Active and which one is Neutral. Now I have successfully wired up batten holders in the past but they were different! This time the terminals are set out differently and I haven't been able to find out online how they are supposed to be wired up. They didn't come with instructions either. Never come across one that has to be honest. So. I am now looking for help. In some circumstances I would go with trial and error, but since this is 240 volts, I'm not so keen on that method. Here be a pic of the terminals. Sorry, it's a lil blurry... As you might be able to see, the…

hey growers, I was wondering if a 150mm inline fan (with a few feet of 150mm ducting) pushing out a odorsok and pulling through a 250w cooltube be sufficient exhaust for a relatively small cab? this is just for a flowering box, ill do veg seperately. would prefer not to have a separate fan for the cooltube if possible, as space is limited. also have the benefit of indoor ac in the summer anyone with similar experience? cheers

I'm trying to think up a way to supplement the mains electrics for a 400W HPS with a supply from solar/wind/water/powered battery banks and invertor setup. If HPS is a bit steep powerwise, could any of the lower power lighting systems work? Has anybody tried this route? Does anyone know if there are any sites with the teccy knowledge for this kind of thing? Many thanks.
