Exhaust Fan from Bunnings

Hey,

 

Can anyone recommend a decent 250mm Exhaust Fan from bunnings.

 

Any decent brand/etc ?

 

Something that'll displace a bit of heat/air, wont burn out easily, and I wont lose sleep with it being in the next room.

What i'm about to mention is something you don't want to hear, ettin.

 

But the truth in the matter, is that ventilation is a thing every grower wants 'n needs to be on top of. Because if you have the ventilation sorted properly, there's a fair chance half the woes that you see people have with sub standard setups, can be eliminated with proper ventilation. It's that simple.

 

I know noisey fans are a pain in the arse 'n it's the main reason people try 'n cut corners. But as you'll find, there a necessity. Same goes for odour control. If your only half arsed about it, you can only expect half arsed results.

 

I've been into a few Bunnings stores, and in all honesty, i've never seen anything that comes close to being suitable. So i'd tend to give them a wide berth.

 

What you'll need is something with a continuous use rating that can run 24/7, 'n so far i've found two companies in Oz that specialize in these types of fans. Both have German built motors that apparently are some of the best ones around.

 

The two companies are Westaflex 'n the other is Fantech. The type of fan you'll need is a Centrifugal fan. That way, it'll have grunt to handle a carbon scrubber or odor-sok, so you can sort possible odour problems at the same time.

 

Centrifugal fans can be quite quiet if some proper preparation is carried out.

Agree with Indy on the fans, the only thing from Bunnings is the control switch for your fan, if your that way inclined that is.

I've been using some low voltage fans from Dick Smiths, not running at their full spec, which are quiet and effective. At least for a robe setup.
