I hope someone can shed some light on what is a rather puzzling situation. I got some old seeds from a friend and have been growing successive crops over about 4 seasons. I have always watched carefully for males and discarded any that looked vaguely like they might be going to be males. As a consequence (or so I thought) the 3 or 4 plants I kept were always female. This year, I kept all 12 of the plants I germinated (needed to refresh the seed bank, and was happy to have males). Amazingly, all 12 were female. The odds against this occurring are, according to my calculations, 2 to the power of 12 = 1 chance in 4096 (assuming, simplisticly, an expected M/F ratio o…

Almost got one of my plots ready for this season. The dirt is hard ass clay so i dug out some holes and put 5 gallon buckets in the ground. I still have a few more holes i have to dig but first wanted to figure out how many plants you guys think i can fit in this area... (I'd say its probably about 5ft x 10ft). I also put up a 5 foot fence and covered it with the dead brush in order to keep it hidden, hopefully the weeds will start growing over it soon cause right now its somewhat noticeable. Do you think this fence might block a significant amount of sunlight? The area isn't frequented much so i'm not too worried about people stumbling across it but it is a possibility s…

Hey, I'm looking at growing outdoors. I live in the Melbourne region of Australia. I'm unsure of which seeds would grow well in our climate. I'm strongly considering these seeds Any suggestions on what other strains would be suitable for growing and some reasoning behind your choice? I am prepared to buy only off Planet Skunk as its the only site i've had good dealings with. Cheers

What's the best time of year to grow in Adelaide? So far I've been able to sprout seeds and grow them to about 2" tall in a pot in the laundry but then they die before I can transplant them into a pot outside. Is there a comprehensive "how-to" out there somewhere?

Hi People, I've been growing this thing since November. It's my first grow. Plant is about 4 foot tall now and stinky. Piti's are around half white half red. Should I harvest now? Or wait a week or 2. I've uploaded some pictures to help. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, I don't really post here much - only when I need help. ! Hope you don't mind me leaching some more information from you. My last grow was about 15 years ago.... The pics below were taken today. This plant is outside in Canberra in a tub with perlite and vermiculite - watered every second day or so (to keep it from wilting) with Dutch fest 2 part nutes. it has been flowering for about 3 weeks - some fan leave have started to drop which I read is normal during flowering - it is positioned in an 'ok' spot that gets sun until late afternoon. I'm a little concerned as Canberra is starting to get pretty cold and the pistols on the tiny buds are startin…

Hello I have an outdoor plant, nice big smelly one. Pistils are 25% brown, I'm not sure about identifying amber trich's, guess they're all still clear, I cant notice any difference from place to place How to best tell when this thing is ready and whether its predominantly sativa or indica?. If I post a photo, someone can give an indication? thanks, shane

Hi guys, newbie here on first grow... I've been reading the various boards for a while and thought I'd have a stab... Problem is, (I think) I have 2 females that have been accidentally pollinated :-( ... From what I can tell the bud should still be smokable but will be full of seeds... These are my only two plants, I'm not interested in the seeds, I would like to get as bigger yield of smokable bud as possible. My question, and I'd appreciate any opinions on the topic, is whether to pick off these little sacs? (are they seed pods?) I have read in varying places that once a female is pollinated it directs much of its time into seed production rather than THC prod…

Hi fellow growers of the magic urb mon.... hehehehehe just wanted to get some feed back from a few of the out door growers that grow in 50ltr pots or larger.. I am finding that the plants I have in 50ltrs pots when given 20ltrs of water dont need any water for at least 4 - 5 days as of late....(temp range 33c and under) but my 20 ltr pots are needing water every day.. if you do the math they should be needing water ever 2 - 3 days..(temp range 33c and under) im tempted to get 75ltr pots and given em 30lrts of water evey 7 days and see if this works... any one else in the same boat... would love to only have to visit the ladies once a week that would be sweeeeeeee…
