shroomyshroom .... why does everyones plants grow faster than mine

 

Give em max sun - they love it shoomy

 

 

They are up and running - I spent a nervous time with one or 2 who was having trouble tossing off the seed cap (husk) which wouldn't let go. I loved watching it; and yes I had to try and help as gentally as was possible.

 

Obvious result - the plant was deformed and not making any headway in the glorous sun with the overnight showers. Beautifull start to one fine growing season.

 

Lots of work going on next door but the plants are wee one's at present and easily hidden from prying eyes - for now at least

I like the looks of its broad first set of leaves - a name "?" leave it a while - I have not sexed them it's only about week 21/2 'ish = who's counting a way to go yet.

 

 

Ok that's it for a week .

Hi ev - u keeping ya head down ?

 

I am hoping the nice special one among the 4 is a female - if not then I toss another dozen seeds in.

 

I recon I can sex the most advanced and healthy one(s) in the next 2 weeks. It will be with the "magy glass" of course - as the 20/20 vision has gone now. But It's the look , the feel , the wish, the belief and the knowledge that there is one girl and I am willing to tell you [bet] I know the one...(naming to take place on sexing).......... we all know there are rules

 

 

Lets see how the sunshine pans out ! It's been a bumpy start to a summer grow season with temperature fluctuation outdoors one day max of 27 next a max of 12 ....... at least there has been decent showers and some cloud cover to keep the temps down.

 

NO changes to this weather for cast for the next 2 months apart from the expected temperature is to clime

We could hope for rain but I feel for all those exploring the bush, outdoors in river beds hoping the drought don't lift. It would mean their little plots may be washed away and it may be 2 - 3 weeks before they can make the intrepid journey to check on them.

 

I'l be off to check out the boards.

 

next update Sunday - nothing phenomenal is expected (ie the magical 'budfairy' sprinkling "Bud-dusat" creating instant buds)

Sunday update .........

 

 

3 of 4

 

1 of 4 - (spoiled growth; Damaged root structure during pot-up)

 

Poor light today - so unable to confirm earlier indications of 1 female identified. Give it time ........ I need one or 2 to take clones from.

 

PS/ I have sporning bettas. My small Fry (new hatchlings) are entering into "free swimming" phase.
