I know some of the fun of eating is the way you eat it, but when thc and cbd' get absorbed by the stomach they go thru the liver and are broken down differently, hence the longer time to take effect and variety of dose when you eat. Some drops under the tongue are one way as they are absorbed into the bloodstream, bypassing the liver. Are any of us budding enough chemists to work out the way to get the thc into a nasal spray lick the vicks pump pack. I tried it with my canna butter and man, it's like really messy round here now, ya know? Any ideas? Vaznasal

Chlorophyll in pant matter is what gives MJ food its "green" taste. It helps plants grow good but most of us don't like to taste it. Here are some tips to reduce the "green" taste in your canna foods: 1. Chlorophyll is water soluble while THC isn't. Soaking plant material in water for a period of time before using helps get rid of some of it. When I make canna butter I usually simmer my plant material in water for 10 minutes and pour off 2-3 times before adding butter and water for final time to cook. Hi guys, a little wrecked at the moment but I thought I would pass this on to other adventurous readers. Some time ago I was told that I had a "hermie" and to get rid of it. Because "old hermie" was outside, away from tempting damsels, I decided to keep it as it was one hell of a healthy looking stud. Anyway, time has gone by and "hermie" is really bushy with 5 main stems about 16-18" long that are covered with bloom and seed. The seeds are still green but filling the pods. This is what I have done: I cut off 3 of the branches, ok, only 2 are shown in the pic. After weighing, I decided that another leg of "hermie" wouldnrt go astray.

Does anyone know the hard facts on how long to boil a butter \ water \ MJ recipe . I've heard and read anywhere from half an hour to eight+ hours . Is there any need to cook, simmer, or boil for hours or does extended heat bugger the mix ?

I remember reading on this site somewhere about making a massage oil which when rubbed on gave your body a relaxed stoned numb feeling without it effecting your head at the moment, I think it was urbanhog that mentioned it. Anyway now I have some leaf from my first grow to work with im very keen on trying to make some. I have been browsing the site trying to find the post again without any luck. So I thought I may as well just ask if anybody could give me the instructions to making it, it would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I rember when i was younger my nan use to make bread useing beer instead of adding yeast all though i am not 100% sure how she made it, but use to think it was grate eating nans beer bread because it had beer in it, so at the end of my grow i will be doing another canna beer, so i will be giveing it a go to see how it pans out, but if any one out there who likes doing there own home brew with a bit of pot in it and would like to try i will get the info of me nan on how she use to do it

This is one of the ways I make it, among the many :: Melt about a pound of butter in a pan, then mix 60-70 grams or more of thoroughly sifted pot into it. Let it boil very carefully for a couple minutes (10 - 15 ), until the butter has gotten a nice green colour from the weed. Now squeeze the butter through a fine strainer. Squeeze the leaves hard to get out as much butter as possible. If you have opaque stockings, you should get away with using those. You can strain through a muslin to get out any remaining leaves, but you will lose some butter in the muslin. Bring a nice sized pot of water to the boil. Use around 4-500 grams of butter, add it to your water when boiling. Now add your weed. I like to use probably.........for 4-500grms, I'd use about 3 ozs of leaf/tip. If I'm going small, for 200grms of butter I'd use probably 1 1/2 oz. Depends on how you like it I suppose :: ................ Now, while you're regularly stirring the boiling mixture, the cannabinoids should dissolve into your butter, while the nasty tasting crap dissolves into the water. This is supposed to be a pretty potent, use with care! (by a Mr Green Jeans) Take about one dry ounce (very dry) and sift it 2 or 3 times, getting it very clean. If you can, please use a stainless steel skillet, add a dash of oil or margarine.
