Can I make cannabutter this way?

Hey guys im pretty new to cooking with weed and I was wondering if I could just put some butter in a cooking cup with some bud and zap it in the microwave for a few minutes on a low setting, woud this work or would I be wasting my time? Cheers.

well it really depends what your trying to achive out of it but the short answer if your trying to make a fast cannabutter alternative is that your wasting your time as all you will do is kill THC and make the chop taste funny , if you had an OZ or even a half mabey I would say make up some butter but with only 4 grams it is not worth your time or effort imo

 

if you have a look at some of the recipies here for cannabutter you will notice most will be done with large amounts of plant matter this is because the time ect involved isn't really worth it for small amounts such as this

 

if all you are looking for is a way to mix in the weed easier try to add it to one of the liquid ingreedientss like milk , water , egg or PRE melted butter ,

 

 

there isn't much difference in canna cooking to normal cooking EXCEPT that cannabis hates high temps so if you just remember that the key is to cook the cake or cookies slow and on low temps then you should be fine :thumbsup
