Cannabis Harvesting and Refinement

Plants are now 46 days into flowering. What i want to know is, if i am on the right track. From what i read from the time of my last grow, I came up with a method fro harvesting/drying/curing. Wait till 75% of hairs turn amber colour (personal prefference of the smoke this way) Flush for 7-10 days of tap water (ph adjusted ?) with no nutes, too get rid of the chemical taste in the buds. Leave in darkness for 24hrs. Take plants out and trim all fan leaves and neaten up the buds (so to speak) and hang them on a coat-hanger. Make sure buds are not touching eachother. All the smaller buds, put them on a mesh net and place under the hanging buds. Have a blowing fan…

Okay, I got some smoke of a friend of mine and I found some crystal sort of stuff on it and I asked him what it was and he said it was salt something about how he cure it. What would the purpose of the salt be?

im 1 week into flushing b4 harvest, how long can i keep running the system without nutes b4 the smoke starts to suffer, im guessing the harvest should be in the next 10 days, nature being what it is im only guessing, so far i've pruned most of the dead and dying rubish below the screen, also a lot of people say they get a few picks from a crop, I've always found my to mature from the bottom with the top buds being the last to mature. any thought would be helpfull

Hello, When I harvested my last crop I chopped each individual branch, manicured the buds and then hung them out to dry. Once they were dry I cured them in glass canning jars. I was happy with the results but the buds didn't seem to keep their lovely smell. Is there are better way of harvesting/drying/curing? Cheers dwyndorf

While reading some posts here i came across this. Strip leaves and place in jar with lid untill dry. Can anyone explane this and the reason to do it

when should i harvest the plants i had outdoors durring the winter they are buddy and sticky, but the hairs are still some white i am afraid that they will push throught the budding and become huge and grow again, they are not in a good place as if they do get big the goddamn ghetto birds will see them(copperchopper) should i chop or transplant into the bushes help me please oh wise ones peace love and brown rice mr. novice

Ive been told that one could expect a pound of head of a good hydro plant?? i have 4 little plants at the moment, all doing ok (IMO), will prob finish off being about 3ft tall......what sorta weight would i be expecting? dried. thanks all,

Hi Stoners, My plants are in week 8 of flowering and the hairs on the crown buds are starting to go red/brown but the hairs on the other buds are still white. Should I start flushing now or give them another week? Cheers dwyndorf

Hi Oz Stoners,What is best to use when curing your buds Glass/Plastic?Is plastic safe to use when curing/storing buds?I know when in dark period you need to leave the outlet on but what about using a small fan too?When drying should i keep outlet on and use a small fan?Cold and rainy here will buds still dry in 10 Days-14 Days or will i need to add heat?Will remaining chems be leached out after the curing as could only flush 5 good times over 5 days Thanks

Hello every1,How to dry harvest?Im going to hang in a dark room but wondering if i can run a heater/Fan/Outlet/Carbonfilted when drying to keep temps up as cold this time of the year?How long should i flush perlite for b4 harvest if using 14 litre medium size pots/Ph adjusted rain water/Handwatering system i was thinking between 5-7 days?Thanks
