Hi Stoners,

 

My plants are in week 8 of flowering and the hairs on the crown buds are starting to go red/brown but the hairs on the other buds are still white. Should I start flushing now or give them another week?

hey ya id say start the flush now as the plant will most likely be at peak potency , with say 7 to 14 days with the flush , depends on how you do it normaly, the rest of the hairs will go brown no worries and what you are looking for is how swollen are all the calyxs? , seed pods ,what percentage of them are swollen , how far up each bud has this swelling reached? if it is more than 75% start flushing ,or reduce your nutrient ec around say 2.6 downwards ,I usualy only make a half strenghth nutrient and add water every day aim to reduce ec by .1 every 2 days ie 2.4 next 2 days 2.3 etc down to 1.4 1.6 keep an eye on ph , rain water is best to add when flushing ,but is up to you after 8 weeks your the best judge, over grown bud losees potency very quickly and most strains especial indica dominates will only need 8 weeks including flushing, sativa dominantes a week or 2 longer , and with the advent of good lighting plants often want to keep flowerring past their prime ,im sure other stoners will have some ideas as well cheers
