Okay, I got some smoke of a friend of mine and I found some crystal sort of stuff on it and I asked him what it was and he said it was salt something about how he cure it.

What would the purpose of the salt be?

If he did i'll give you a clue about if it's dodgey, saltpetre is potasium nitrate and is one of the chemicals used for making gunpowder.

 

Ask him if he would smoke it himself and if he says yes pack him some up. But i wouldn't touch the shit even if he offered.

On overgrow forum someone asked about salt curing, everyone said to forget it. I really doubt your "friend" tried it, more like hes getting the salt to stick to the buds and make them look like their covered in crystal. :thumbdown

 

ive never seen anyone use salt in 20 years but ive seen plenty rip off others with adding to the oz, like water, low quality buds, leaf squashed in the buds, etc etc etc.

I never smoked it, it looked too dodgy for me. Thanks for the answers though. He claimed that it helps dry out. He is one of the shady friends of mine though.

Saltpetre is used as a drying agent in certain things, i'm not sure what things but i think you made the right choice by not smoking it. Google it up and see what you can find.

Salt would help to dry it out. Just like the way you preserve fish with salt.

But whats in salt? what sort of salt? because your smoking the salt.

Normal table salt, NaCl, has a melting point of around 3500C.

 

If it was in your cone, it would simply fall through with the ash, harmlessly.

 

The fact that someone found that they HAD to put it in their pot is a bit suspicious.

Hey Ferengi, You are right what is in salt??? And I'm not sure what sort of salt, I will find out, it was kinda fine looking salt but not as fine as table salt and not as coarse as empson salts. I must ask when I see him again.
