Hey guys, im from Melbourne and am just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of the prices of bud around our great country. I can expect to pay around $270 for an ounce of reasonable buds here in melbourne, but i might have some money to buy quite abit and stockpile it, so i was just wondering where the cheapest prices in australia are. My first guess would be nimbin, however ive heard adelaide has it cheaper? In any case, if anyone could clear this all up, i'd appreciate it Thanks a bunch guys

Marijuana Use Linked to Reduced Risk of Head and Neck Cancer NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Marijuana use for 10 to 20 years is associated with a 62% reduced risk of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), the results of a population-based case-control study suggest. However, further research from larger studies is needed to verify this association, the researchers emphasize. Moreover, even if marijuana use were found to protect against this malignancy, the risks of use may still outweigh this benefit. "Marijuana is an entry-level drug and can be associated with later use of more serious addictive drugs, as well as other risk behaviors," Dr. Karl T. Kelsey, fr…

( WASHINGTON, D.C.) - A study just published online by the journal Neurotoxicology and Teratology suggests that marijuana may protect the brain from some of the damage caused by binge drinking. The study, by researchers at the University of California San Diego, used a type of high-tech scan called diffusion tensor imaging to compare microscopic changes in brain white matter. The subjects were students aged 16-to-19, divided into three groups: binge drinkers (defined as having five or more drinks at one sitting for boys or four or more for girls), binge drinkers who also smoked marijuana, and a control group who had very little or no experience with either alcohol or…

I'm really worried about the accusations that 'weed' is highly addictive. People tell me horror stories of people they know being addicted to it and not being able to get off it and needing help. My theory is that all these people always used it with tobacco. But we all know studies confirm it is about as addictive as coffee. However I believe in australia its the norm to sell 'weed' as marijuana+tobacco. I myself have never bought off the streets so I am unsure. I think weed spun with tobacco is hurting the reputation of cannabis and as such helping to prevent it from being legalised. EDIT: you may have noticed I have edited out the poll and changed some things…

CANNABIS smokers beware: stress or dieting might trigger "reintoxication", resulting in a positive drug test long after you last used the drug. The main psychoactive ingredient of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and once in the body it is readily absorbed into fat cells. Over the next few days it slowly diffuses back into the blood. Since THC is taken up by fat more readily than it diffuses out, continual intake means some THC can remain in the fat cells. It has been suggested that stored THC can be released at a later date in situations where the body's fat is rapidly broken down. This is based on anecdotal reports of spikes in blood cannabinoid levels in peo…
