Hello there I just have two questions. Has anyone ever flowered with a 1000w MH Sylvania globe OR a 1000w MH Sunmaster globe (Neutral spectrum only)? I can still get solid buds right? And is there a difference between the Sylvania brand 1000w MH Neutral spectrum and the Sunmaster 1000w MH Neutral spectrum globes? Apart from about $15 is there any other difference?

Hi all how many lights can i run before i need a light management unit? my 2x 400watt HPS are blowing a HPM heavy duty timer so that sort of answers my question but i was using the same kind of timer on a 1000watter last time round with no worries?? surely i dont need a LMU for 2x 400's, the HPM timer is designed for spa/pool motors,heaters etc and should handle 10A:scratchin: thinkin of maybe adding another 400 later on so a LMU might be the go, but what about a heavy duty timer for each light, could stagger the start ups that way? would be much cheaper that way, any advantages a LMU has? What are you guys using for multiple lights ?

Hi there AM looking for a 150 W HPS ballast and bulb. Any clues? And yes, it is a 150W I'm after. Not a 250W. If in doubt that you can grow some dense buds in a micro grow, have a look at this thread.

I have access to free, ( yes I know ) FREE 1000w mh and hps lights, so far cause I like to be quiet about it I just use 1 x 400w hps If I choose to expand a bit, what size box should I grow in, under 1k w ? can any one point me in the right direction for retailer of HID lighting in brisbane a hydro shop would be better so that i know where one is when i decide to build a hydro setup. also what would be the minimum id be looking at spending for a 400 watt HPS light with reflector etc.

Hi all. I've got a 26 cubic metre granny-flat grow room, split into 2 - both will be flowering rooms, with mother and veg room separate. What I was wondering is would an appropriately sized centrifugal fan attached to a carbon filter, running 24/7, be suitable for reducing temps, as well as removing odour, or would a better option be to install an a/c unit and get a different (smaller?) fan and carbon filter for cooling and smell? If a/c is the way to go, what sort of fan should be used for the carbon filter then - should it be centrifugal or can an inline or axial be used? I'm sure I'd be able to find a couple of second-hand a/c's for not much more than a centrifugal f…

My light keeps going on and off and it wont stay on for longer then like 2 min what could be the problem its a 250 metal hilide the ballast is inside the light i have no idea has anyone had this problem. I have a few plants that are like a week or 3 away for bein chopped what should I do with thoes if i cant get this light fixed?

hi all anyone ever had a 1000 watt metal halide bulb explode! i mean literally like a bomb! the top of the globe swelled like a pregnant belly and then it expoloded! and the inside tube did too? never had it happen before. it was an old globe could that be it? or someother reason? i did foliar spray mavrik 2hours before lights on. the only thing i can think of is that it may have had some spray on it. ill have to take a photo of the globe and post it, as its impressive! sunmaster btw - mh small jacket

so i got 5 plants a couple weeks along... i got this flood light i bought from home depot and 2 40 wat natural sunlight tubes...is this enough light for veg stage? am i going to need more as i switch into flowering? what are the sighns on plants that need more light? also...what color spectrems are better for plants in veg and flowering stage? can anyone recomend a good light i should use...its a closet set up so i cant use nething too powerful. Hey I was talking with a mate and he was telling me about these lights you hang near the base to get some light to the lower plant when in flower and they dont put off any heat. Has anyone seen such a light and where would i get one? Cheers

Hey guys, I have a 250 watt Metal Halide Light in my room, my plants are in veg but i have ran out of room to move my light up in my cupboard, so the plants are getting a bit close to the light dont want them to bbq. So my question is if i get a 250HPS is the heat that comes off them much less? or is there a better way to deflect the heat? thanks.
