K....... as Ive previously posted, Im up dateing my grow.

 

I have access to free, ( yes I know ) FREE

1000w mh and hps lights,

 

 

so far cause I like to be quiet about it I just use 1 x 400w hps

 

If I choose to expand a bit, what size box should I grow in, under 1k w ?

 

DWC scrog cause thats what I do but I was thinking of multiple s

You should be able to get away with an 8ft x 8ft area no worries with the right shade.

Personally I prefer to go with more lower wattage lights over an area because u get better light distribution.

400watt 3'x3'

600watt 4'x4'

1000watt 6'x6'

 

check out the room calculator at the top, that should sort you out... but you should be aiming for 2500 lumins per foot... at the bare minimum..

i would be going as SS said for a 6x6 room but hey if ya getting them for free get 1x1000w and 2x600w and run tham all in a 10x10 room
