Heat free lights

Recommended Posts

your mate was likely talkign about one of two things , first is somethign used quite often which are compact fluro's and although they let off ALLOT less heat they still do radiate heat somewhat ,

the other thing he coudl have been talkign about was the use of led's and fiberoptic cabling , this method is allot newer to the industry and hasn't quite taken off just yet , the advantage of an led though is that grouped together in the hundreds they have more light outputt than a compact fluro and you also have the ability to play a little with the colour spectrum

I shoudl mention the seccodn option is a few hundred to set up where as the first will cost you as little as 10 dollars per light you make up

flouro batterns im thinking would be near heat free certinly wont increase room temp if you are exhausting the hot air.

4 foot tubes would be ideal $20 for a double battern and $7.50 per triphospher or Gro lux globes bought from a lighting shop/ hardware not hydro shop. lol

Might even help to reduce stretch during the veg period :peace:.

fibre optics and leds (which are two different systems they're not used together) are expensive solutions for stealth micro growing. They're not much use if you're looking to boost yields in the average cupboard setup.

But cooltubes are a good option if you're having trouble controlling heat lol

really? you ever touched a fluro fitting/globe after its been on a long time? They get hot don't worry about that. in fact I think you will find watt for watt fluros give off just about as much heat as a HID light.
