But once again, with any Metal Halide HID lamp make sure you get the suitable type. Either BU (Base Up only) for those shades which hang lamps down, or use HOR (HORizontal) or U (Universal) for those shades which hold the light horizontally like an adjustashade.

If u buy a sunmaster warm deluxe make sure u get the horizontal type if you are using horizontal shades that is .

 

you will find they are more expensive than the universal type but this is due to the fact they give out more lumens in the h pos than the universal globes. if you dont believe me ask your local hydro shop.All you have to do is remove the small dowell situated just near the threads and it fits all all horizontal fixtures.I removed mine with a small pair of side cutters.
