OK , I'm stepping up with the times and going to do a DWC grow . What water Temp ? What EC , PPM etc ? Half strength or full? What PH ? I'll be using what I have here , net pots , perlite ( I know clay balls are better ) . Dutch Fest nutes . Should the pots touch the water when I first start as the clones dont have roots hanging out the bottom of the pots yet ? I am excited at this , as I hear the growth rate is quick/quicker than what I am doing now , just Perlite pots watered by hand every couple of days sitting in kitty litter trays . Are the yields bigger/better ? Any help/advice much appreciated Cheers CG

I'm getting a DR100 grow tent (100 x 100 x 200cm) for my next grow and wondered what method I should use for best results? I've been using autopots in a wardrobe up until now, but it's time for a change and am planning a SCROG with my 400w HPS. I have thought about using the NFT grow tanks, but the smallest is the NFT 205 which is 71cm x 40cm which in a room of 100 x 100 is a lot of wasted space. The next size up is the NFT 424 at 112cm x 50cm which is too big. So I wondered what would be the best method for a SCROG in a room 100 x 100cm and how many plant I should use?

Hey everyone, its been about a week since my last post and just wanted to keep you updated on my first grow. Both plants are coming along really well and look very promising. I would expect at least another 2-3 weeks before I transplant them into a "bigger" pot (at least a 3-4 gallon pot would work right?). Here is my question, if the planter is big enough, would it be ok to put two plants in it at the same time? Or should i use two different planters? this is my biggest concern because of the lack of room. Thanks for your time guys.

Hi all. So i've previously done both veg and flower under the same HPS. This time at the start of flower I added 2x 24w 6400k daylight bulbs. They are relatively weak and more there to use while the HPS is off during maintenance time however have shown me a quite useful result. The crowns which surround each of the CFLs on opposite sides of my current tent all have a quite visible increase in resin production. The lights are hardly a match for the crowns directly under the HPS bulb - so i'm led to believe this is a phenomena associated with the combining of spectrums. I have not seen much discussed on this topic before, hoping someone has had similar experiences and…

Ok let me just say that i have the basics down. I have my seeds and i Germinated 2 of them. It took about 3-4 days to germinate but it went fine. For starters, i put both seeds both in two Solo cups with moist soil and been watering them only when the soil gets dry. One plant sprouted, its been 4 days and it is now about 4-5 inches tall in the cup and only has 4 tiny leaves at the top. So, it doesnt look right to me because its too tall and has very little leaves. Any Idea what's wrong?

Does anyone know where to buy a 1m x 1m fibreglass pond to use as a reservoir for a flood drain table of the same proportions? I was hoping for something around 300-500 litres.

Hi, I would appreciate some opinions on what wattage lights to use. A few years back I used the 400's. Then I started using 600's Have never tried 1000's. Would love some feedback, and would appreciate what type of lights and bulbs. Cheers

Hey all Me and my mate are looking into the wonderful world of outdoor growing we are planning to grow out in the bush near were we live , we've had a few indoor crops nothing to major , and I was curious as ive heard a few conflicting things as to preparing your area. I was wondering if its worth the trouble of fertilising the soil before hand or if its a better idea to do it when your transfering plants over ? And what is a good fertaliser to use? Next questions i suppose would be the use of water crystals and wether they are actually worth it? i have heard that water crystals can also soak up liquid fertiliser which can lead to burning the roots could anyone cla…

2 plants every 2 wks sounds like a bounteous harvest. but the different periods veg vs bud doesn't work out well, does it? I may have to use smaller pots and have 3*2 veg and 4*2 in bud. Two spaces each capable of handling 6 pots, rotated as 6 pairs of 2. Day0 - a pair (P1) of cuttings are taken. This pair sit central in the 18/6 after probably being set aside in dark for 24hrs. Day14 - P1 move to the side and a new pair (P2) go in. Day28 - P2 move to the side and P3 move in. Existing 'mothers' are used for P1 and P2 but as of Day28 it is expected that the eldest pair (at this stage P1) will become parents. Cuttings are taken 28 days from when they themselves we…

I've heard that adding honey can produce a greater yield by increasing bud density. Is there any truth to this and is there some scientific understanding that would support the practice? Answers appreciated.

Hi Guys, I've put together a fairly rudimentary diagram of a wardrobe conversion I am thinking about putting together. I was thinking about a 250W bulb with reflector (that can be adjusted vertically depending on the stage of the plants), as I believe a 400W globe would be too much? Given I would only be growing 1-2 plants at a time, would it be worth inserting a fan into the top for circulation? At this stage I am thinking of a soil grow, simply putting the pots in the bottom with a light overhead. Does this seem a little strange? I'm guessing so, all of the wardrobe conversions I have seen on the forums have all been hydro set ups. Thanks for your help!! st…
