I want to make some butter soon, and I've done some reading so I know what the procedure is with the boiling and straining etc.. I just can't work out how much butter and stuff to use because all I read is people using ounces or more. I plan on using 1/4oz of yellow powder from the grinder and a few grams of leaf and bud. Is the yellow powder a good way to go, has anyone done this before? How much butter and water would I use to make something fairly potent? I'm worried if I don't use enough I'll waste it. I'm thinking 200gram of butter and 3 cups of water.

So we were at the snow sitting watching TV with the 4 cone swivle bong going. and we all had the muchies bad, so we were thinking of making brownies, then it came to mind to make weed brownies. We chopped up the weed and put it with the butter at a ratio of 40% weed 60% butter and their was about a quart in the pot. Well it was a package mix so i dunno. we added the butter into the mixture etc and cooked the brownies (it wasent a big batch) and we got like eight brownies. But it hardly worked at all. the non stoned person had one and he dident get stoned at all. Any ideas why it failed and we wasted a quart?

Okay, I don't like smoking; therefore, I've been doing Green Dragon. I got good results with some stems and stuff that sat in Everclear for three weeks. This involved no heating of the cannabis prior to steeping it. Problem: it takes toooooo looong. Next, I made a batch with Everclear on the stove; no preheating of the weed. Ok so last night I made Cannabutter for a special 4/20 treat and it turned out beautifully so I thought I'd share my method because it was an improvised version of about 10 recipes and it didn't take long. Hiya ozstoners I have a query about using leaf for making butter. I have just got a fuckton of leaf given to me fresh from a big male plant that was only barely starting to flower. It doesnt even have any decent tips on it, just the smallest little flowers are just starting to develop. My question is will this leaf be any good for butter? yes or no Ive never used such an obviously low in THC content material. The leaf ive used in the past has come from plants with buds and ive mainly used shitty buds for my cooking. Its good because you dont need to boil it for a million years but with this leaf im going to have to boil it for at least 6 or 8 hrs arent i.?

I'm making some hash oil out of 1/4 an ounce tomorrow. I read somewhere that it's better to strain out the weed after it's done before using it for brownies, and I wanted to know if the weed is still useful for smoking at all after it's been used to make hash oil? It's hard for me to just throw away all that weed and I know my friend said he was still able to smoke the weed he used to make tea.

Fellow Ozstoners, I'm looking to make some cannabutter from Bud (don't have the benefit of having trim to use ). All the Cannabutter recepies I've seen use trim for the weed. What sort of Bud to Butter ratio should I be using for decent strength cannabutter? Thanks for your help!

Gather up: !/2 oz of very finely chopped trim or shake 1/2 stick butter 2 cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed) 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips (or white or butterscotch) 1 small 7oz jar of marshmallow cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts, and/or 1/4 cup toffee bits A greased pan Melt the butter in a double boiler keeping it between 180 & 210 F Put the shake/trim in a dry frying pan and lightly toast it for about a minute over a medium heat.
