Ok so last night I made Cannabutter for a special 4/20 treat and it turned out beautifully so I thought I'd share my method because it was an improvised version of about 10 recipes and it didn't take long. RainbowChild's Easy Peasy Cannabutter Ingredients: 500 grams butter 1 oz good bud 2 litres of water Cheesecloth or stocking Method: Chop up the bud really fine - finer than you would to smoke it - almost a powder. Ingredients: Fettucini Yabby's fresh (uncooked 1kg) 3 cloves garlic 1 jar capers mushrooms (im using 2 differant types but ordinary will be fine) 1 bunch dill 1/2 cup canna butter 15 thin slices prosciutto 2 chilli's 1 lemon dry white wine 1. Get you canna butter and melt in a lrg fry pan and add your garlic and prosciutto cut into thin strips and fry untill almost crispy. 2. Hiya ozstoners I have a query about using leaf for making butter. I have just got a fuckton of leaf given to me fresh from a big male plant that was only barely starting to flower. It doesnt even have any decent tips on it, just the smallest little flowers are just starting to develop. My question is will this leaf be any good for butter? yes or no Ive never used such an obviously low in THC content material. The leaf ive used in the past has come from plants with buds and ive mainly used shitty buds for my cooking. Its good because you dont need to boil it for a million years but with this leaf im going to have to boil it for at least 6 or 8 hrs arent i.?

I'm making some hash oil out of 1/4 an ounce tomorrow. I read somewhere that it's better to strain out the weed after it's done before using it for brownies, and I wanted to know if the weed is still useful for smoking at all after it's been used to make hash oil? It's hard for me to just throw away all that weed and I know my friend said he was still able to smoke the weed he used to make tea.

Fellow Ozstoners, I'm looking to make some cannabutter from Bud (don't have the benefit of having trim to use ). All the Cannabutter recepies I've seen use trim for the weed. What sort of Bud to Butter ratio should I be using for decent strength cannabutter? Thanks for your help!

Gather up: !/2 oz of very finely chopped trim or shake 1/2 stick butter 2 cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed) 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips (or white or butterscotch) 1 small 7oz jar of marshmallow cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts, and/or 1/4 cup toffee bits A greased pan Melt the butter in a double boiler keeping it between 180 & 210 F Put the shake/trim in a dry frying pan and lightly toast it for about a minute over a medium heat. Hi Fellow Psychonauts, This weekend I will get the rare opportunity to try my hand at cooking up some bud. I should have about 7g of mid range bud to cook with. Can someone suggest the quickest, easiest way to get something edible out of it, as I have never eaten canna based food before and I'm interested in trying it. My GF is asthmatic and can't smoke so she's pretty enthusiastic too. NOTE: My cooking skills are "limited" - I'm not a complete retard, but nothing too crazy, and detailed recipe/instructions are really going to help me. Don't care if it's sweet, savoury or otherwise, as long as it WORKS. Cheers stoners! :thumbsup

Following ozzie_420's example and recipe I made my first batch of canna butter which went flawlessly - except for the dog...which ate the residue out of the bowl and was drooling and unable to walk for 24hrs! Don't worry though! He's ok now! A bit subdues now though... The butter is POTENT. Containing 4oz of sugar trim and 5grms of prime buds into 500grms of organic butter it only takes me a teaspoon to get well and truly stoned and I've just had a whole cookie which is starting to work it's way into me - Jimbo

This is how i make my canna butter and all ways works a tread for me. All the stuff that is going in. 3.5 oz of leaf and bud trim, about 10 grams of mixed prime buds and smaller buds from bottom of plants. The thing i do before i add the butter is add all the stuff i will be using into the boiler and fill with water and bring to the boil then turn off the heat and let sit for 1 hour, this helps get rid of a lot of the green taste out of the butter. The 1st boil and what the water looks like after 1 hour sitting. Then i drain every thing through an old tea towel dump old water and re fill with freach water bring back to boil add butter let boil for 5 mins…

In the thread Cannabutter?, horton asked some questions about Cannabutter... Chev's reply got me curious... What I would like to know is, can you cook/stew the mj, and then add the butter AFTER you have removed the mj? Or does it work better the way Chev has explained it?
