Source: www.news.com.au sounds like the politicians are trying to make the greens look bad because they'll have the balance of power in the senate which will make them able to stop any bullshit laws from getting passed one can only hope that the greens prevail, end up with the balance of power and in turn decriminalize marijuana

Thought this was very interesting... Enjoy! Love and a squish, Alison xx Cognitive functioning enhanced by cannabis use in schizophrenia By Liam Davenport 01 November 2007 Schizophr Res 2007; 96: 169-184 MedWire News: Cannabis use by patients with schizophrenia is associated with enhanced cognitive functioning, with both frequency and recency of use linked to better neuropsychological performance, conclude Australian researchers. There is a lack of understanding of the neuropsychological effects of cannabis use in schizophrenia, partly due to conflicting evidence from the few studies that have explored the association. To investigate further, Carissa Cou…

Source: http://esperance.yourguide.com.au the laws that get broken by sending illegal things in the mail is a bit of a concern, but the police think that because they picked up 15g over 2 packages that using the mail for sending drugs is futile? PREMIER Anna Bligh has pledged to crack down on dangerous drug-addled drivers with Queensland police due to begin roadside testing within weeks. Police expect to drug-test up to 20,000 drivers in the next 12 months, with the number of roadside tests likely to increase in the following years. "It's time to get tough – don't say you weren't warned," Ms Bligh said yesterday after the state's road toll sped past 300. Drivers will be tested for cannabis, ecstasy, speed and ice as well as breathalysed in roadside drug and alcohol blitzes around the state. I think someone mentioned this before on the forums, perhaps in the Cousins thread, but I thought I'd post it here for individual discussion, cos I think it definitely warrants it... Video of Alan Jones from 2GB - click here to play, approx 40mb.... I'm just dumbstruck. He takes the pussies way out and says "John Howard is right, drugs are evil" at one point, and never claims the arguments as one he holds, but it's a start... all we need is a few more right wingers to come out with some sensible discussion on drug law reform and you can get a ball rolling. What do you think?

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
