Anyone know / heard anything about these, apart from the standard dribble on the webpage? https://xedhydrolighting.com.au/ good, bad, ugly? They claim to be more efficient then led even

Hey crew I’ve searched the forums for keywords 630 cmh etc but couldn’t find anything related to this maybe it’s the app on my iPhone so apologies if this topic has been repeated umpteen times! I know people/companies will say the 315cmh rivals a 600 but I don’t think it does - May come close and produce some nice resin but I’ve only ever used a cmh vegging in a small tent (which it does well ) or in the middle of 2 600hps in a 2.4 long x 1.5 tent Anyways.... 1 - would a 630w really wipe the floor with a 600hps ? I’ve seen them with dimmers etc so you could adjust it to 90% and get the same power wattage - 2 - if you put an extra large batwing on one or for …

Planning a grow space and I need better info on ventilation gear. The grow room contains two spaces (2.3 square meters, aka 5x5 foot). I am not using zip up grow tents, just to areas enclosed by panda. The entire volume of the room where they are (8' high, and 11' x 8') comes to a CFM of 234.67. I have no idea where and what to get to move that much air.

On face value this looks like a useless Xmas present. Wrong !!! That globe on top ( with a 1960's dollar bill inside) is a futuristic led grow light design. Supplementary red and green lighting eyes and nose. Estimate draw equivalent of a 3000watt HPS, and conservative yield of 3 grams per watt. Patent pending of course. [emoji1787] I'll market it as a Pluto Hydro brand. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

According to marketing blurb, 315w CMH lights are meant to be equivalent to a 600w HPS. Now, I've always been cynical about those claims, just like the similar claims being made by LED manufacturers, but never thought that necessarily made them bad lights. LED's and their particular pros and cons mean they aren't what I'm looking for, but the CMH lights seemed to be, so I bought a couple of Hi Par 315's to have a crack. I've been growing under 2 x 600w HPS in a 1.2*2.4*2.0 tent for a while now, so have a very good idea what to expect. Best yield was 1200g, worst 980g, but generally I hit 1100g ish. As some of you know I'm one of those idiots that likes to do multi s…

Hi Guys, I’m hoping someone has had experience with using an evaporative cooler to cool down your tent or room on hot days of Summer? Small units are going at a reasonable price at Bunnings. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Thought I'd share this little bit of information if your light looks like the first pic it's probably on the way out or gone The 2nd pic is a used light that is still ok The first pic has a black residue about 1 inch up from end nearest the bulb ,it switches on and off When it gets hot Look out for this ,could solve a issue b4 it becomes a disaster Trust me ,it hurt my last grow Or it is close to failing Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

I'm changing up tents ... again! I now have more floor space, but less headroom. The previous 2x4 standard Gorilla is going in storage and I'll get something like a 5x5 Shorty Gorilla. Thus new lights are required. I've been looking at 4x QB board setup, something like a HLG-550 R. However, I notice Cutter sells nearly identical kits for a few hundo less. Samsung 301 top-bin with added Osram 660nm, Meanwell drivers, and substrate. Anyone used these and can offer an opinion? If it's the same goodies and performance, $200 saved would be helpful.

Trying to get as quiet an indoor tent setup as I can. (60x120x 180) Going to get a quantum board light so that’s silent. Is there such a thing as a (near) silent exhaust fan for that small space? Dont mind paying what I need to to get silence. Ta

2metre x 2metre reflective mylar tent. I don't want to use HPS any more, it's too hot for the room the tent would be in, and I see that LED systems have come along in leaps and bounds. Was using a 600watt HPS in a cool tube before, after using a fluoro for popping/early stages. I have a metal halide but will probably never use it. (all up for grabs cheap) So it seems like the go with LEDs are getting ones with some red in there - and a lot of folks seem to say that quantum boards are the go. I'd like to be able to put together a lighting system of my own, but I am not very good with small things, I am not very patient, and I also have a benign tremor which fuck…

Looking for recommendations on quiet fans, usually I just run CPU fans with not carbon filter as I run a led so temps aren't to bad but after my last grow the smell was a issue. So moving forward I'm going to buy a extraction fan, but I'd rather it on the quiet side.

Ok..... so iv found a lot of scattered information but just want some opinions! 4x4 600w hps(not in a cool tube) intake drawing air in from under the bungalow and 6” inch hyper fan on the carbon filter going out the window plus 2 oscillating fans.... starting to get a few warmer days here and there and temps in the tent are hitting the 32-37c they wouldn’t be staying at that temp to long as lights off from 12pm - 6pm( not 100% as I can’t check till I’m home)..... just got home, lights off currently, out door temps 25c and in the tents 23.9c so not bad, but when the 600 is on It can easily add another 10 degrees at canopy height. Still getting some nice over night lows whi…

g'day all weather's getting cooler and would like to get my Dpap 315w ceramic metal halide up and running again. it's been moved a lot and been rattled around a fair bit. think that there is a loose connection somewhere, as the light comes on and goes off when the light gets moved up/down or from side to side. there aren't that many pieces to the light, so hoping that's all it is. was just wondering who to see in this case ... would it be an electronic repair shop, electrician or someone else? any advice greatly appreciated. ps ... i'm not confident of fixing electrical gear and would like to go with someone who is certified to fix this kind of stuff.

Hey guys. First indoor grow with plenty of learning/mistakes done. Jumped the gun instead of doing some research first. Here is what I have. 1.5x1.5x2m tent 600w mh magnetic ballast Growlush 2 speed extraction fan. 2x 50L pots clayballs on pump 15 on 15 off 2x 20L dwc buckets. Plants started from seed. No idea on variety. I have been having trouble keeping correct temperature in the tent, so I have taken the glass off of the reflector and removed the extraction from the cool tube. When i run the thermo gun around the room now, the clay balls get up to around 30c, the plants themselves around 23-24c, but most of the room is around 18-20c. What is recommended here? Shou…
