I have made a clone box, similar to Al b Fuct's. At the moment I've got a 100m extraction fan sucking out from the back of the box (left hand side) and a desktop circ fan pointing towards the back of the box (right hand side). And a 4 tube t5 propagation light about 4 inch above the seedlings which are in 40mm rockwool cubes on a 30c heat mat. The rough air temperature around the seedlings will be around 35c - 38c. I'm guessing this is too warm ? if so what can be done to lower the temp ? raise the light maybe ? but should the light not be just above the seedlings ? Also the humidity fluctuates from around 32 rh to 38 rh and rarely goes above 40 rh I'm thinking of introdu…

I have noticed that not everybody uses feminized seeds when ordering from seedbanks. I'm just wondering why?? i understand for breeding(you want a male) or price or the strain you want is not available femed, are there problems with femed seeds( yield, germination, hermi's??) I have limited space- 2 plants and time(and always want girls!!)so femed is the best option for me!!!I have tryed to research the topic with little luck . Just intrested to hear everybodys two cents worth!! #SEE BELOW cheers wiet # Insert my quote here followed by the link on ozstoners to the very subject... DOH!!!

Hi all! I have some clonex purple gel. I'm about to pot up some seedlings, and want to bury them deeper as they got a little stretchy. I was wondering - has anyone tried putting some gel on the stem of a seedling prior to burying that stem? Also, does anyone know if it is possible to dilute some gel to add to watering - as a kind of root stimulator? I'm waiting on some h&g "roots excelurator" but was wondering if gel can be used in a similar way. Couldn't find out much on the net about it.

My little ladies are about 2 weeks old now and I germinated them in rockwool cubes. I recently transported the cubes to some small pots (soil). On checking them yesterday i notices with one of the plants that the main tap root was coming out of the bottom of the pot. Should i move it to a bigger pot already? I fear that if they get any longer I am likely to damage it when putting it into a larger pot later on. The plants themselves only have about 2 sets of leaves. cheers in advance

Hi, my lights accidentally were too close to my 3 day old seedlings for an evening and they are dry and flopped over but half of the stem is still strong. Should I start again or can the seedlings be saved somehow?

everyone who has polenated their plants knows why they keep males a long long long way away from their females, but for the newbies and the ignorant here's a pic that simply demonstrates why. simple background on this situation... I had a small plant no bigger than a foot tall i germinated in early summer and kept it in a pot far too long for it to develop (since my yard has enough plants in it already) When i topped it, I made a clone of the plant and that too stayed in a pot to grow no bigger than a foot. After gender showed i moved my male plant to another location and then decided to plant my two 1 foot babies close to the male specifically to be polinated, time…

Hey all, new member here, I have chopped my first stem for a clone, i was looking for a good one to cut and found a lower branch that had tripple nodes all the way to the top! it's only a small one...about 20cm but looks like it could have good results..if i dont kill it first I dipped it in purple clone gel and put it in a jiffy pellet, chopped the bottom leaves and trimmed the middle ones, i dont have much equipment on hand so i have to constantly look after it, spraying the leaves and keeping it humid inside, How long (if it doesn't die first) should i expect for a root system? if i had the right equipment i'm sure it would be a fast process. anyway is this a common…
