tap root?

Recommended Posts

My little ladies are about 2 weeks old now and I germinated them in rockwool cubes. I recently transported the cubes to some small pots (soil). On checking them yesterday i notices with one of the plants that the main tap root was coming out of the bottom of the pot. Should i move it to a bigger pot already? I fear that if they get any longer I am likely to damage it when putting it into a larger pot later on. The plants themselves only have about 2 sets of leaves.

cheers in advance

if you transplant to bigger pot now you will still stress/damage roots , i wouldnt worry too much, the roots probably will only poke out the bottom out by coupla of cms, they dont like daylight much either, but they often rush to the bottom of the pot before spreading out a network roots

i generally wait till many roots are showing at bottom of pot then transplant to bigger pot and then all them roots hold the soil/medium together an limit any stress from torn roots

all da best

lol
