So I decided to try a bit of curing while I had the option to do so. While it hasn't been long it has already changed them in that the smell is different and a sample from them is very, very smooth.

Hi all, I like to weigh my grows, really just to see my gpw and understand my personal usage and requirements. So, what sort of scales can people recommend please. I have a small digi scale ive had for decades, but my older age laziness is getting the better if me. I only care for weights within a gram, weighing a minimum of an ounce at a time, preferably 2-3. Any ebay recommendations please ? Weighing in 2-3 gram increments is doing my head in !!

Guys as topic states. No chance of drying my harvest indoors this year. I planned on doing it outside in a camping tent with an oscillating fan running in there. Is this possible without wrecking the bud? Any other ideas for the dry/cure? Thanks.

I thought I would put this up as there is some confusion about what 'gram per watt' means and how to calculate it. GPW is a statistical measure of the total amount of lighting energy used to produce each harvest. Thus GPW isn't simply - I used a 400 w lamp and harvested 400 g... I have an efficient grow. How then would we compare to grows, each using a 400w lamp and yielding 400g but differing in other factors? To be meaningful, we must take account of energy use over time. Once we have done that we can compare grow cycles that vary in a range of factors (lamp size, time, lighting schedule, and harvest). The worked example is imaginary and answers the question abo…

Hi All, I actually have two questions for this post. The first being... In the next few weeks I'll be getting ready to hang up my HSO Purple Trainwreck. The buds on this thing are very, very dense. Which lead me to wonder about how best to dry her out. If time permitted I would just hang it till its dry at the stems - but in this case I want a good dry with out stuffing the taste or how good the smoke is\could be but in a fairly short time. I had read that drying @ 27c and no higher is a good start and perhaps could have it dry \ smoke able in about 3-4 days. But I thought I would ask for advise on this first. Due to them being so dense it will be easy to th…

i have to plants growing and i was told when they are ready to harvest i should cut the plant just above the soil and then sit it in a pot of boiling sugar(and water), this will supposedly push the resin from the rest of the plant into the buds.Any you guys ever heard of this? is it accurate?

In another thread a grower was concerned that a camera flash might up set 'flowering'. I thought I'd post this here. There are two kinds of plants, long day and short day were, the length of the dark peroid is critical, If these plant experience a FLASH of RED during the dark cycle then they will flower or not flower depending on their make up. Cannabis is a short day plant for flowering, that is if the day is long the plant wont flower. The pix below show how this works; with a VERY exciting true to come out of this. Its all about the hormones. If you take the branch of one of the plants inside a tent; extend that outside the tent into the rest of a DARKEND room then t…

Well with a little help from my friends I was able to get this camera going. The provided sofware allows both stills and video capture. NOW I can see the trichs develop and 200X is way better than the other 400x Veho microscope that I have. The depth of feild is too shallow on the 400x and getting an idea of the Trichrome count is too hard. Most seem to aim for a 3-5% Amber ration for a head high and 10-50% ratio of amber to cloudy Trich for a body stone.
