General Cultivation Q&A

I've just started my first grow and I'm very interested in hardcore training as I'm growing in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 metre tent and I want to maximise my yields. I did originally have 4 plants, and I was going to ScrOG them, but one of my seedlings died and I'm down to three plants, so I'm ditching the ScrOG for my first run. Now I've done research on training, and I'm pretty sure at the moment I might just top my plants and do some LST, but I'm interested in what other people do, how they do it, and why they do it. I'm just gathering supplies for my first grow. I've got a 40x40cmx120cm tent, HLG V2 135 kit, and a Nutrifield 27L DWC Top Feed bucket with pumps etc. All on the way or already here. Also, got 3x Fem Northern Lights. NL was my first proper stone and sounds like a good small grow strain! My questions are three. First, if I build a SCROG net, what height should I make it? I've got 120cm total height. Subtracting 30cm for the pot and around 10cm for the LED panel, leaves around 80cm. I think I need to leave some room from the top of the plants to the panel to avoid light burn, right? 30cm? That would leave about 120 - 30 -10 -30 = 50cm for the plants. Short &amp…

**I have been trying to contact the company on both their website and Instagram with these questions but got no love. So who better to ask than ozstoners!** So i picked up a 1 ltr set of the green diamond which is supposed to be a coco specific nutrient base. I was a little surprised to see the cal/mag levels stated on the back. While I'm certainly no expert in the matter, I can only base levels off of what I have used extensively, which is canna coco A/B, which I have found to work best in coco, duh? I'm starting a new set up and would appreciate any advice on venting 2x1000watt hps lights.The ducting will run through 2 tents next to each other.The ducting shouldn't be longer than 6m with a bend at the end for light.Any advice is greatly appreciated

hey everyone, who use`s hy-gen nutes and additives? what does everyone think of them? are they a good choice for a grower growing personal smoko? im looking for chemical free smoke at the end of my flush etc. Hy-gen seems to be good so far no bad reports and iv had 1 good grow on it so far.

I'm thinking about buying an Autopot for my next grow so I can go away for a week and not worry about watering does anyone on here use them and how would you rate them

Im looking into updated my Bluple LED light (true 390W advertised as 2000W) to a HLG quantum board. I have a smallish size tent 50x90x160 with 2 plants. Im not sure if i need to get 2x HLG 65 or just 1 HLG 135 I noticed the 65 is not dimmable, if i had 2 running at the same time would be overkill for the space? Thanks gang

Been growing pure power plant indoors under 600 watter for 2 months on 14/10 light schedule.. if i put them outside now melbourne time which is 12 hrs 20 mins daylight will they start to flower than re veg

Well with spring around the corner my mind is in guerrilla mode. I have some 100litre grow bags I'm thinking to set up in the bush in individual wire cages. I'm planning to dig a small level hole of around 200mm deep and line with black builders plastic. Than fill bottom of grow bag with around 300mm of perlite cover with shade cloth than top the bag up with an organic soil mix of coco, compost, scoria, neem kelp and malted barley powder and of course mulch in with sugar cane. The idea being that the perlite, only the perlite sits in the water hole and wicks the moisture up to the root system and soil above. The shade cloth prevents the soil getting into the water below …

Hi guys, A friend of mine (seriously, hes just 2 paranoid 2 post haha) is looking for a simple grow guide. He wants to use canna terra pro, mixed with 30% perelite. But is lost with the nutes. He will germinate in wet paper towels. Then move to a plastic pint cup with seedling mix. Put outdoor when ready. Then into a 3gal fabric pot with canna terra. One auto, one photo strain. But hes confused by nutes. What products will he need? Was thinking canna terra flores and vega... will this suffice? Thanks guys.
