Rinsing Perlite

Recommended Posts

I'm planning my next run with Hempys. I'll have a couple of inches of perlite in the res part of the bucket. I've seen plenty of posts from overseas forums saying its mandatory due to the dust. A sludge may form in the bottom of the res area if not.

The perlite I have is pictured below. With perlite being as messy as it is I'm wondering if I could avoid the rinse.

What do you guys think and do and how?

depends on how much at once but i just use a 20 litre bucket with drain holes in the bottom. hang over the tap an let it run for a while

I like your idea. Just drilled a heap of tiny holes in a 9 litre bucket which was of no use to me due to a slightly split bottom. I'll rinse some tomorrow [emoji106]
