Toronto Star May. 10, 2003. 10:28 AM Ottawa backs off pot law plans Possession to stay criminal offence Changes come after U.S. outcry TONDA MACCHARLES OTTAWA BUREAU OTTAWA— The federal government has backed off plans to make pot possession a mere ticketing offence, the Star has learned. The new plan came days after U.S. officials warned that any easing of Canada's marijuana laws could lead to a crackdown at border crossings. quote from an article i was reading about SA: "Marijuana is still an illicit substance in South Australia even though it was widely "decriminalised" for personal use by the Labour Government in 1987. That government brought in an expiation fine system where simple possession of small quantities enabled the police to give you a fine and no criminal record - rather like a parking fine. This "decriminalisation" of cannabis has served to stop the crowding of courts of stoned offenders of a victimless crime and makes an important distinction between personal use and dealing." I think this maybe the approach to take for initating the legalisation of cannabis? crawl before …

They called for a battle against the drug to mirror that belatedly waged against tobacco, saying that it too could soon pose a major public health hazard. Their warning, made in an editorial in the British Medical Journal, is the most high-profile attempt yet to alert authorities to public health difficulties that might result from an apparently more liberal attitude to the drug. The authors,…

generally, if your gonna be concerned about having your machine turned into a zombie or sumthin nasty happening then you should worried only if you have a broadband connection, 56k dialups aren't usually bothered with any more as its far easier to crack broadband connections these days, they offer much better/faster access to your computer and net etc... you must have a firewall if you have broadband... look into using linux if your technical and paranoid minded... I can offer limited linux advice ( I don't use it but know alot about it)... look into a "port monitor" or port sentry or port sniffer...something that monitors port scans/ connections/ requests etc.... as…

Although I've been tokin' for as long as I can remember(which isn't usually too far back), I'm still a newb when it comes to growing, making hash, and all that good stuff. That being said, I figured I could help a few people in this area of the site, as this is one area that I'm not a newb. Outside of the firewalls and Anti-viruses that everyone should have on your computer, another good security feature to have handy is the proxy. This is what I call preventative defense. A firewall's great if someone is trying to infiltrate your computer, but if information can get out it can get in and so can an attacker. So in comes the proxy... If you can't find a computer, i…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
OZ Stoners, in the contemporary digital landscape, stands as a lighthouse for the Australian cannabis community. Beyond being a forum, it exemplifies adaptability, unity, and a shared passion.
