Ive been using Nero and then Clone Cd to backup :: my cds, games etc....and have been pointed to this prog which runs better than clone cd for doing this. Instead of burning cds you load the cd into your hdd then copy the image of the game and then mount the image and it runs it like the cd is in there.... I thought it quite clever and saves the odd dollar or ten if you play a lot of games like me Just finsihed playing C&C Generals....now playing Duke Nukem Manhatten Project and Empire Earth.... Note that it is better to find the cd copy protections before backing up your cd....you can do this using clony xxl...or go to this list... http://www.petemoore.pwp.…

Thought I'd share this with ya, this is a thread on GardenWeb about gardeners concerned about the interest by police into their legal indoor gardening. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and the topic has turned to marijuana law reform now, so I thought it had become relevant enough. This is an international forum though, so most of the views come from the yanks. Still an interesting read, so enjoy! GardenWeb Forum, "Cops are watching my house, what would you do?"

Alaskans could get to vote on everything from legalizing marijuana to taxing cruise ships if the sponsors of several proposed 2004 ballot initiatives get their way. Lt. Gov. Loran Leman announced Thursday that a ballot measure to ban bear-baiting had been certified by the Division of Elections, which means that the sponsors can begin the process of collecting more than 23,000 signatures in order to put it on the ballot in November 2004. The measure is the first to be certified for that election, but applications for certification for four other ballot measures have also been received by the Division of Elections. Leman announced Friday that a fifth application, which …

Thursday?s idiotic marijuana-smoking party outside Toronto police headquarters demonstrated more than the foolishness of some individuals ? it pointed clearly to the need for government to do more than just decriminalize. As with many other substances, marijuana is going to have to be regulated and controlled. If legislators are particularly smart, they?ll go one better ? sell and tax pot, and use the proceeds to fund increased costs of regulation. Police did nothing about the dozens of people who openly smoked the drug on police property, perhaps using the occasion for a passive-aggressive demonstration of their own. Maybe the frustrated officers were saying to propo…

One of B.C.'s most senior appeal court judges says she no longer believes marijuana offences are serious crimes. "While at one time I accepted the received wisdom that marijuana offences were serious crimes, I now am of a different opinion," B.C. Court of Appeal Justice Mary Southin said in a written judgment released Friday. "In my years on the bench I have sat on over 40 cases which had something to do with this substance, which appears to be of no greater danger to society than alcohol," she said. Her comments were contained in a unanimous written ruling by a three-judge panel that overturned a lower court decision to convict a Vancouver couple of operating a marij…

Four students suspended last week for allegedly smoking cannabis at a sports carnival have taken Supreme Court action so they could sit exams this week and play in a football grand final. Justice Barry O'Keefe on Friday granted an injunction to the Maclean High School students - a year 8 boy and two boys and a girl from year 10 - that temporarily lifted the 11-day suspensions handed out to them by the school principal the previous day. Louise Goodchild, the chief solicitor for the National Children's and Youth Law Centre, said the students "vigorously deny" possessing or taking drugs. The "draconian" suspensions were based on "the uncorroborated stories of other chi…

A cannabis-based drug which relieves the symptoms of multiple sclerosis should be available on prescription by the end of the year, it was announced today. GW Pharmaceuticals said Sativex, which contains extracts from whole cannabis plants, is on track for release subject to approval by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Because it contains the class C drug, Sativex would also require a change in the law, but Home Secretary David Blunkett has indicated he would be willing to make an amendment if the drug was approved. GW, based in Salisbury, grows 40,000 cannabis plants a year at a secret site. The drug is administered as a spray in th…

The HEMP Embassy is amazed by the outcry over the high school student at Maclean caught with a bong in his bag. Dealing with reality on this issue is overdue. Spokesperson Michael Balderstone said, "I guess there's no chance of getting the job, but the NSW Dept of Education could hire us as their 'bong disposal unit'. No doubt we're a joke to most, but many young people have more experience and knowledge on cannabis than most of the people preaching to them, and they are interested in hearing from long term users". For example, we are finding many of the young teenagers caught up in smoking pot daily are hooked on tobacco without realising it. We, like many social wor…

A HIGH-ranking police officer has resigned as a Crime and Misconduct Commission investigation continues into the theft of more than $100,000 from a police safe on the Sunshine Coast. District Superintendent Bob Welch, whose office at Maroochydore station contained the safe which held the missing money, recently resigned. It is unclear when Supt Welch's resignation will take effect. He was one of four police officers whose homes were raided by investigators from the Crime and Misconduct Commission in August last year. The raids were believed to have focused on police who knew the combination to the safe. Just over a week after the $113,000 was reported missing, CMC…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
