Santa will arrive in Darwin tomorrow to express his continued support for the community’s campaign against the ‘drug house’ laws. Currently en route from the North Pole, Santa is expected to make an appearance in Darwin’s Raintree Park tomorrow afternoon, at the 23rd Community Smoke-In for Human Rights. The smoke-in, organised by the Darwin-based drug law-reform group, the Network Against Prohibition (NAP), will be the 23rd such event since the NAP was established in March 2002. It is the fourth with a ‘Christmas in July’ theme. Smoke-ins are held as a regular protest against the Northern Territory Government’s ‘drug house’ laws and other abuses of human rights in t…

I read on sky news thismorning that the president of indonesia has been quoted as saying indonesia refuses to give a presidential pardon to any drug smuggler and that schapelle will be carrying out her 20 year sentance :thumbdown the way things are looking, the courts decision to give her 20 years is going to stand, if the indonesians give the prosecutors what they want (life imprisonment) they'll look like they are corrupt and if they set her free, they'll look like they are sympathetic to drug smugglers, so basically they are just going to wait for things to blow over and just let things stay the way they are.... just like any other problem a government has, there…

File is too big for me to post as an attachment, so here's a link to the original copy: http://www.health.gov.au/pubhlth/publicat/...ment/mono31.pdf Hope this isn't a repeat post (since the doc is quite old), but I think it'd be interesting to a few members on this site.

read on sky news not to long ago that an international lawyer based in london believes that if the war in iraq is found to be illegal, howard bush and blair will all be prosecuted for war crimes :thumbsup on the last page of the story, it said if the war is found to be illegal and howard leaves australia after his term in office is up, he'll be prosecuted sucks to think that it might only happen if he is out of power and out of the country but im sure we could give him a nice retirement holiday if it came down to it on the bright side of things, if the war is found to be illegal, the leaders of the countries who went to war should be held accountable for all…

The Infidel Guy interviews this guy from the Marijuana Policy Project. There's alot of stuff we already know, but there was alot of stuff I did not know. Like, did you know canabanoids supposedly have a nuro-agent in them that preserves nerve cells? Lots of interesting points. Link

My girlfriend recently went to hospital after collapsing at work. Once there they went through the regular "do you take drugs" "what drugs do u take". She was honest and replied she enjoys a couple of scoobs in the evening. So anyway, after a headscan they found she had a slightly fractured skull and would have to stay overnight. As we were getting settled in her room, the drugs and alcohol advisor ( a middle aged woman wearing too much make-up and too little clothing) arrived for a "chat". After making it very clear anyone that takes an illegal substance has serious emotional issues, she was ready to prescribe four valium a day to try and stop her "evil" ways. She refuse…

Hello together, here's some reflections about some aspects of the cannabis prohibition in America. I wrote another detailed essay about the role of media, but the whole essay takes over 20 pages- so I don't know where to post it. Anyways, here it is. Oh yea, by the way, my bibliography is screwed up and i have to rewrite it, but that's going to happen soon. Reasons for the cannabis prohibition today Cannabis politic in the USA (1930-1940) - Introduction - Did cannabis have to be eliminated due to its competitive role towards the uprising artificial fibre, paper and pharma industry? - The ”Marihuana Tax Act” ( 1935- 1937) - Conclusion Introduction: …
