hi all i am having trouble with my first grow and need some opinions. i am growing in canna coco using their a and b nutes. i got some clones from a friend which are bout a month old now. anyways i was using rainwater for the plants without adjusting ph but now i have bought a liquid test kit and got some ph down. i made the mistake of changing the ph straight away instead of dropping it gradually and now most of my plants have been getting bright yellow new growth and the new leaves are really thin and the plants are growing slowly. i have been trimming the new growth off on one plant and leaving another alone to see which recovers quicker. it looks like they have sulphu…

Some basics to start - 50litre pots run-to-waste - Coco with thick layer of clay balls at the bottom - Ample air-flow and oscliating fans in the bedroom - Lights are about 15/30 cm away from tops (some longer branches have shot up) - ec .6 - 1.2 (reduced from 1.2 due to burning, seemed to thrive at .6 in veg) - Ph 5.8-6.0 feed tank - Flush weekly with ph adjusted water - Currently in week 6 of flower - Plants were looking mostly healthy, but patches of problems like this are coming up I really don't know what's going wrong. I've been tinkering away with the ec and ph levels but nothing much seemed to help. The best they looked was after a flush in veg and reducing the e…

I found an ol pool dip test kit... tests Ph, total alkalinity, chlorine, total hardness as ppm CaCO3. Its just a strip of plastic with a diff colored portion for each of the tests mentioned above. The range of ph it detects is only from 6.4 - 8.4. Are these things useful at all? Even close to accurate? I tested the runoff after a watering and it came up as 6.4....should i trust this result? Other results were: Chlorine = 0, Total Alkalinity = 80 (on a scale from 0 to 240), and Total Hardness = 500. Im rather skeptical as to the accuracy of the Ph read out....has anyone ever reliably used these type of things before?

Beneath are my girls that I've had outdoors since about October last year (yeah I know a bit late) they've been flowering for about 3 - 4 weeks now, and since flowering I've began noticing the slow yellowing and eventual dying off of all of my girls leaves from bottom to top, at the rate theyre going there won't be any leaves left by harvest , what makes no sense is the top half of the plant looks healthy as, plenty of hairs and crystals everywhere. Here are a few stats on my grow 9l pots, watered with PH adjusted water daily or every second day depending on soil dryness, I've ferted them a few times during their life, every 2 weeks with Yates multi-nurtient plant food …

Hi group, Some basics to start - 50litre pots run-to-waste - Coco with thick layer of clay balls at the bottom - Auto-feed 1 min twice per day, don't always get 10% run-off - Ample air-flow and oscliating fans in the bedroom - Lights are about 15/30 cm away from tops (some longer branches have shot up) - ec .6 - 1.2 (reduced from 1.2 due to burning, seemed to thrive at .6 in veg) - Ph 5.8-6.0 feed tank, run-off is 6.8/6.9, pens calibrated regularly - Flush weekly with ph adjusted water - Currently in week 3 of flower - Plants look mostly healthy, but patches of problems like this are coming up - No evidence of bugs (i've looked under leaves) Any ideas?

Recently i stupidly changed from coco to clay balls to save myself a bit of watering. Had some small plants in coco and gently rinsed the coco of the roots then put them into pots with balls watering them for 15 mins of every hour. Problem is that the water got real hot as it was in the room, and the black feed lines got super hot- Result- Seriously wilting plants and yellowing of the leaves as they die. I can only assume that the roots were burnt by very hot water. I have tried to flush them out and changed the light cycle as so they are not on in the hottest part of the day. Have better ventilation Have lowered ec t0 1.2- ph 6.3 have kept pumps running contiuously Ha…

i have on a few plants not all and not all buds, a little ball kinda like a seed growing but it has 2 red hairs coming from then, i am unsure as to weather this is a hermie or what it is? the plants are growing super healthy and its not really affecting much, they are not appearing in clumps, but some buds did have two or three in each bud, and other buds are unaffected. i can get some pics up if it will help you identify. never had to deal with a hermie b4 so i am unsure as to what they really look like...thanks..

Okay, i'm really stupid, I veged the girls for to long without realising it. I know it's a dumb problem to have, but it's a problem none the less. I switched them to 12/12 yesterday, but looking at it, it's going to outgrow the head space they have very quickly. I've never had to tie down during budding before, any tips you guys could provide would be great. Do I just tie down the tops? will it make the buds retarded?

Anybody run into this problem? They are two Chemstar clones from out bush before the floods, they are off different plants but both show the same symptoms. =upwards curling of the edges of top leaves and growth tips. They are the only two clones of the 28 from out bush to show this deformity, they are also the only Chemstar clones . Any ideas? I had something very similar on a Skunk#1 clone a while back but it has grown out completely in bloom and was never quite as bad as these two.
