Hi guys. Im sorry to start up another thread but I have a question and didn't want to clutter the other one with lots of questions unrelated to the original topic. (Ill jump over shortly and edit this question out of the other thread) I would really appreciate some advice on the general state of maturity of this plant and when it should be PK'd and flushing started., She's in week 8 since the flip and Trichs are mostly clear with some cloudy, couldn't find any ambers but I dont have a very good magnifying lens. She had a 3hr light leak a week ago and just last night a fluro was left on over night so they are being left on until the usual time.. yeah I know, it wa…

Heya, Just wondering if anyone know what causes the surface of the leaves to appear kind of leathery. Top leaf if a normal one, bottom leaf is a leathery one - hopefully you can see the difference. Cheers edit: its mainly the top/new growth showing this leathery look. under 600w hps in recirc system with clay balls. running 5.8-6.3ph and 1.3-1.5 ec light is about 50cm above plants

Hello ozstoners, have a ghastly little garden that I need some help with, first time grower. Indoor/Outdoor: Started outdoor in dirt/pearlite, transplanted to system 2 weeks old Growing Medium: Expanded clay Growing Style: Recirculating Watering/Feeding Frequency: fed 15 mins every hour to start, now 2 hrs between 15 min feeds. Nutrient Strength (PPM/EC): All over the place, started on bout 0.8-1.0 was up to 1.8-1.9 at one stage, plants hating it, E.C kept rising, so I flushed. At this stage at 1.0, I am maintaining this for a bit. PH Levels: Temperature/Humidity Levels: temp levels good, no hotter than 28 at plant level directly below light. aAways shows "Lo" as humi…

Hey guys First time grower here, One of my plants Vanilla Kush is struggling, originally Van was started off in coco/perlite mix, Decided to experiment with DWC and after a massive Stuff up i scrapped DWC and transplanted Van back into soil, Van was probably in DWC for a total of a week, Vanilla has currently been back in soil for nearly 3 weeks now, I have another strain Afghan Kush which is doing well and is currently in the flowering cupboard, Vanilla Has really struggled since day one, I'm not sure whats up, purple stems everywhere, and now the leaf tips seem to be turning brown, hardly any new growth in 3 weeks, i'll attach a heap of photos, maybe i have experiment…

Hi all yet another indoor newbie question I repotted my stunted plants and seedlings yesterday to a mix of about 1/3rd sandy garden soil (baked in oven & seived) to 2/3rds seived potting mix with a little ash and some blood n bone I was real carefull not to break or damage any roots (I hope) watered them in with diluted worm juice to replace some bacteria thing is I expecred to see droopy shocked plants this morning only to find some of the plants with their leaves up in the air? like a punk rockers mohawk................I raised the light (130 cfl) about 3/4 of a inch so the leaves would'nt touch it. Any ideas whats happened here guys...........

So lately I've been noticing that mozzie coils are being suggested as a safe and natural way to kill pests in the growroom. Sure pyrethrum is safe, but I don't think people are giving the use of mozzie coils the proper consideration. While they do contain Pyrethrum which is safe, there are a multitude of other ingredients which likely are not even on the label. The main constituent of mozzie coils is sawdust, coconut husks, or some other kind of filler. Other ingredients include binding agents, dyes, and other chemicals to help them burn and to enhance the action of the pyrethrum. Now I'm not going to hold everyones hand, but if you bother to even do some half-assed r…

G'day Troops. For those of us unfortunate enough to have this problem your favourite Aunty has pulled on its footy boots and declared war on these little bastards. When I first saw them there was only a few, then overnight, shit, mongrels everywhere. So Norm being Norm attack is the best form of defence. With limited resources, read funds, I took to 'em with what was at hand, namely fly spray and mozzie coils. I also had some fly strips from summer left, so they also got a gurnsey. One of my Pot of Gold suffered a bit of burn from the spray, but nothing serious. It stopped the pricks cold. A couple of days later there were a couple around so I lit another mozzie coil an…

Hi, Had some issues with these plants, changed lots of things among lowering my EC which worked somewhat, but still something's not right. Just wanted an opinion on something. The roots are coming out the bottom of the pots, and quite a few at about 10 cm long from each hole. They've been sitting in the runoff pot which sometimes has runoff sitting in it from last water, i really couldnt say how old it gets etc etc, this has only just occured to me tonight. Could this be doing bad things to the plant? I guess the residual water that doesnt quite drain out of the runoff pots does dry up in there and leaves salts so, for the next runoff. Bad? Not so good, but not much…
