Ok about 15 yrs ago I grew some hydros it took me a while to find good clones but when I did they boomed. The only problem I have no idea what they were but they had some distinct properties (I think anyway) The grew about a meter to 1.2 high an grew them over 12 weeks 6-6. I got about 4 oz plus per plant. The buds were big lots over 30 cm an thick an solid biggest weighing an oz an a half. The weirdest thing about them an maybe biggest clue is the shade leaves just had 1 finger. Just 1 really long finger with maybe 2 tiny little ones either side of it. Hopefully the 1 finger is a known strain if not an old one. Oh an I grew them in a big tank with nutrients…

Hey guys i've been reading heaps of information about the removal of fan leaves for pest problems and light issues etc, yesterday i went ahead and removed probably 40% of the the fan leaves on my mother, a good 200 leaves plus. I had to remove some of the leaves due to spidermites and the I kept taking leaves off so the sun light could reach all areas of the plant. My mother has got another 4-5 months of veg left. I went and checked her this morning and heaps of new bud sites are reaching upwards atleast doubled light exposure for her and the under canopy. I'm thinking this can only benefit her as long as she doesn't turn hermy from the stress, she doesn't seemed stressed…

Ok so i was reading though an old cannabis growing book and came across a technique that looks amazing but a lot of fucking around. you get a plant and LST it off to one side as normal, but they reckon you can take the side branches going down and 'clone' them into the dirt and they become an extra root supplying the plant. o_O; same way you would take a clone but you propagate the end into a root system .... so it becomes like a creeper plant. kinda like this EDIT! It's my 1000th post YAY!

ok guys here are afew pics, had to get on the laptop todo it. i'm growing sensi big bud feminised seeds.they are doing well so far.only been watering them with ph balanced rain water.no nutes what so ever.as you can see underneath the screen is a jungle with nice fat indica leaves and flower sites that aren't going to make the screen.i've really tried to keep the canopy even.still could of veg alittle longer but just was alittle unsure how they would stretch.almost filled my screen tho.all were topped at about 2weeks and alittle lst to spread them around alittle and bring up afew more bud sites,as I said guys this is my first scrog attempt so I think I've done ok so far.…

Hi guys. I am new to the forum and have not smoked weed in about 4 years. I would just like to give a bit of a background about myself and what I am hoping to achieve here: 4 years ago i was involved in an accident in which i fractured my T5 vertebrae and had to resign from my job permanently (carpet layer). I am still employed but in a much less physically demanding job. Ever since then over the last 4 years my back muscles around the old fracture over-compensate for the old injury and have cause chronic muscle tendonosis. It's like a permanent cramp along both sides of my spine. I physically cannot relax my back muscles anymore. I have been to a couple of doctors - in…

Hi guys, Im selecting nutrients for a mist and a fog set up. Ive done a lot of reading yet im no closer to a choice. Obviously I want to stay away from sediment and price is important, first set up costs etc. Fog systems are stand alone in 30l buckets, nute solution will be static in the bucket with the fogger doing its thing. Spray system is run through mister sprays and drains back to a sump where its pumped back to the sprays, drain uses gravity, nutes are to be recirculated in an on off pattern to be decided. Total mixed volume for foggers will be around 4-5l per bucket I think, so 12-15l total. Spray system is still in construction and im open to suggestions …

Hi everyone, Is there a general consensus that when growing Auto's that they should not be topped? and the reason for this is that Auto's don't generally spend enough time in a Veg stage of growth to recover. Following on it doesn't then get a chance to be strong as it quickly moves to its Flower stage of growth. Also, if an Auto is topped, then there will be a higher likelihood that the yield and bud site multiplication that topping is meant to generate will not eventuate and on the contrary, topping an Auto will reduce the yield because the young plant will sort of stunned. What are your views? I have an auto on the go, it's my first one and I don't want to do an…

Hey guys, i watered my plant yesterday with about 4-5L of water(tap, ph is 6.9) - its 8 weeks old, strain is most likely chronic, it suffered some nute burn early on(week 2/3) and i transplanted it out of some bad soil and since then its been happy and healthy. Gave it a seasol water bout 10 days ago Hadnt watered it since the seasol watering as the pot felt quite heavy, after this watering i didnt get that much run off and today the tips of some of the leaves are turning a dark brownish color.. Should i flush it wish more water and ensure run off? Its also been extremely hot in sydney with temps over 30 degrees the past few days and its been getting full sun daily,…

First time grower. Germinated my seeds about two months ago, have re potted them, used organic potting mix and organic blood and bone type pellets.... Just wondering if anyone could tell me if they can tell if it is indica or sativa, if these are male or female and what else I should be doing... I'm wanting to keep this as organic as possible... Thanks in advance fellow tokers!

OK, I really want to get opinions from some of the knowledgeable people here. I've had some input on another grow from a few esteemed growers whose opinions I respect a great deal. However, their advice is contrary to my own common sense, and I would like to see if anybody has some good botanical information that clarifies this situation for me. My question is: Is it really true that lower fan leaves in a scrog grow take nutrients away from the flowers in the canopy, and that they should therefore be removed? I simply cannot understand how it can be a good thing to remove lower fan leaves when they generate sugars/energy from photosynthesis, and therefore contribute t…

Just thought I'd make a thread for the DWC growers to post some comparison pics showing the quick growth rate of DWC. I also thought it would be good for the non DWC growers to see just how quick plants veg in DWC. Please add pics if you have them These are Lush x Blueberry seedlings that I put into the DWC tub 7 days ago. The roots were just beginning to come out of the rockwool cubes. 7 days later they look like this with nice thick stems and the beginning of some nice branching. Naycha
