Deep Water Culture (DWC) comparison pics

Recommended Posts

Finally got around to the root pics before seperating 10 males, only one confirmed female so far.

I got lazy and let the tub run almost dry, the plants don't seem affected by it but the roots were a mat as I had neglected to seperate them for more than a few days.

Thanks Nay, I look forward to the pics... I've long wanted to try dwc, but fear it's going to be more work than coco and I am a lazy grower.

Nay I've found coco less of an investment but dwc, once all the tweaking is good (which actually took me ages) is less maintenance and no back breaking labour with buckets of wet coco every harvest. I also find dwc way more fun

nice setup you got going Naycha, i plan on doing a DWC as my first grow, that is as soon as I acquire the seeds. anyway I had some questions if you wouldnt mind answering a couple...

Is it possible to go from veg to flower without moving them into their own pots?

how prevalent is root rot? is that something you have to watch out for quite regularly?

how often to you have to do a total water change?

and lastly where did you acquire the black tubs? been looking everywhere for just the sort with little luck :(

any help would be much appreciated :)

DWC rocks......................... lou i have found my dwc (recycle) easy as to look after,  setting it up right is half the secret, i spend a couple of minutes a day and 1/2 hr every 10-14 days for full nute change  :)
